A Witch in the Kitchen: "Delicious Parchita / Passion Fruit Jam"

avatar

Hello Dear Witches...!

A candy is never too much, and if it's parchita / passion fruit, moreover, this is one of my favorite fruits, and all the desserts that include it, therefore become a delirium for me. Today I wanted to pamper myself with a delicious marmalade of passion fruit, which besides being delicious is very simple and quick to make.

Many will think that being a fruit with a high level of acid, requires a large amount of sugar or sweetener to make this jam, but the surprise is that this way I prepared it, the amount of sugar is reduced to more than half of what would normally be used and that its flavor and texture is even better.

The best thing is how fast you can make this recipe, which is ideal for bathing a rich pie or a good cake. Come with me and I'll show you this delicious recipe. Enjoy! .

Ingredients

  • 600 gr of parchita / passion fruit.
  • 3/4 Cup of fructose.
  • 1 Tbsp of stevia leaves.
  • 1 Cup of water.

  • Preparation

    .
    • Difficulty Level: Low
    • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
    • Baking time: 45 Minutes
    • Yield: 700 gr of jam.

    • In a pot with two liters of water add the stevia and let it boil, when this boiling add the shells of passion fruit, and cook for about 15 minutes, until they are soft, let cool and remove the skin of this, chop into small cubes and set aside.

In another pot prepare a syrup, add the fructose and cup of water, when the syrup is boiling add the pulp of the parchita, stir and let boil over low heat for about 10 minutes, after this time add the shells of passion fruit chopped into cubes, stir and continue cooking over low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Turn off and let it cool, and Voilá! so easily and quickly we have our jam ready.

Now we just have to pack our delicious jam, and taste with some good crackers, or some toast, although I tell you that I taste a couple of tablespoons with nothing, I love this jam, has just the right touch of sweet and sour for me, the rest I will save for a delicious pie, or some delicious tartlets.

And what would you accompany this delicious jam with?

That looks delicious! I bet it's great on just about anything, but I would love to mix that in with some oatmeal. I enjoy tropical additions to my oats. :)
