White sauce pasta

Pasta in white sauce / Alfredo

Here's another pasta recipe.

Ingredients

  • For the Sauce
    • Butter (1 tbsp)
    • All purpose flour (1 tbsp)
    • Milk
    • Grated Cheese (any)
    • Crushed black pepper
    • Salt ( a pinch)
    • Dried oregano
  • Other ingredients
    • Veggies of choice
    • Pasta of choice

Steps

  • Boil the pasta, drain and keep aside.
  • Prepare Sauce
    • In a Saucepan heat a tablespoon of butter.
    • Add the all purpose flour to it and roast for few seconds.
    • When the flour in pan starts to turn brown, slowly add milk and stir simultaneously to avoid lump formations.
    • Keep stirring till the sauce thickens, once it starts to thicken add the grated cheese, crushed black pepper, pinch of salt and more milk to it and continue stirring.
    • Stir the whole mixture so that there are no lumps add more milk if needed, you can also add more butter.
    • leave the sauce to boil and thicken on medium flame.
    • When sauce starts boiling add Oregano and give it a mix, sauce is ready (check the sauce by tasting, if something more is to be added).
    • Keep the sauce aside.
  • For pasta
    • In a pan heat oil / butter.
    • Add veggies of your choice and saute for few seconds.
    • Add some salt for the veggies and the prepared sauce.
    • Add the boiled pasta and mix.

Pasta in white sauce is ready, serve by grating more cheese on top.
