Tuna and Mushroom Sisig
It’s been a quite long time since the last I shared a recipe. The reason is my older sister who is in charge in going to the market every week, always purchase the same items. Therefore, our menu or meal plan every week is always the same and I think I already shared it all.
Tonight, my husband is in the house. So, I prepared the food for supper. Here are the ingredients which I, again, played and experimented with.
INGREDIENTS
2 Cans Tuna in Olive/ Vegetable Oil
1 Can Whole Mushroom, sliced into quartz
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium red onion, chopped
1 pc green chili, sliced
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp canola oil
1 tsp lime juice
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp ground black pepper
Most of these are probably already available in your pantry.
PROCEDURE
Heat oil in pan,add the butter and sauté garlic & onion until soften
Throw in the mushrooms and sauté for 3 minutes
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, lime juice, and sugar. Add the mixture into the pan. Stir until the mixture is equally distributed
**Now, add the tuna. Break the chunks into flakes using the ladle. Season with ground black pepper **
Add the green chili and cook for 1 minute more
Transfer into plate and serve hot with rice
