If you read my post yesterday, I posted pictures of some flies that I later got to know are known as winged termites. In the post, I asked if anyone out there will advice me to chew them.

Well I did, and it was tasty. I would like to take you through the steps from when I got the flies until when they got into my mouth. I got the flies at home when it rained.

I picked a few up and washed them with water. I then removed their wings and washed them again.

I placed them in a frying pan and placed it on fire. I didn’t add oil, they contain enough oil to stir fry. They were on the fire until they were brown and crispy.

In no time, they were ready. I took 1 to check wether they were good enough to eat the remainder and they were.

It was my first time so I didn’t fry a lot but will probably do more next time. You can give it a try if you have these flies where you are.😊

What do they taste like? I've heard that fried moths kind of taste like pecans or peanuts a bit.

Wouldn't know what to compare it with, you should give it a try sometime when you catch some.
