Making Caramelized Banana

Hi everyone, I would like to share a recipa of Pisang Karamel or Caramelized Banana. There were many bananas that we got from the farm. My wife decided to make caramelized banana which I have never heard of. She said her mom use to made caramelized banana for her family.

Here is how she did it.
First, she peeled off some bananas. You can make this from most kind of banana, but my wife thinks lady finger banana is not suitable for it. Or any banana that's too soft.

Next, she prepared the frying pan and put some palm oil into it. After waiting for a few minutes, she fried the peeled bananas.

After all the bananas had been fried, she put them into a plate and put them aside. She then washed the frying pan because the pan will be used to cook some white and brown sugar. It's time to prepare the "caramel" for the bananas.

She poured some water into the frying pan, a little bit of white sugar, and palm sugar. She kept on heating and stirring the sugar until all melted. All the sugar dissolved in the water, and it became thick liquid of caramel.

She put all the fried bananas into the frying pan. For about five minutes, she kept on stirring the bananas, until the bananas and the caramel mixed well.

The caramel became thicker and soaked into the bananas. This was the sign that the caramelized was ready and cooked well.

She switched of the stove and put the bananas on a bowl. "It's best to be served with black bitter coffee," she said.
