Champion's League Qualifiers

Second day of Champion's League qualifiers. I watched PAOK Tesalonica vs Krasnodar, again a good game but I don't think these teams have much to do against the other big teams they will have to meet. Salzburg and Krasnodar have an edge as they won their first game, Midtjylland and Slavia tied. We will se who goes through of these six after ninety minutes.

The game I am watching has been good enough, PAOK started with an all out attack but they faced a good Russian defense, at first it looked like nerves were going to undo the Russian goalkeeper but he recovered and made some good saves. Both teams have had certain chances in the first half but none was exactly clear and yes, no goals were scored.

The second half was much better, both teams looked for a goal, and we had three of them in five minutes enough to make it an exciting game. First an own goal sent Krasnodar ahead, three minutes later PAOK scored the draw and two minutes later Krasnodar scored the winner.

So for today we have the three qualified teams, Krasnodar, Salzburg and Midtjylland, and I believe the following Champion's league round is now complete. Let's see who the big teams get to play against, I expect a more even Champion's League this year.
