TULIP Mania Game Round 2 Report - Day 5 of 15

Sales have paused at the 3-cent mark and today is the first token buyback.

So let's look at today's numbers.

Token sales = 1679 STEEM
Fund value = 1716 STEEM
Fund paid out = 28
Current fund value = 1688

Fund value = 102.2% (This tracks our profit and should be over 100%)
Fund paid = 1.6% (This tracks the token buy-back payouts as a percentage of the Fund Value and will max at 100%)

ABV = 1.37 STEEM cents (indicative)

The idea behind these in-game buybacks is to add an extra factor into the game and to stimulate more daily interaction. As this particular TULIP game is operating on a cash basis, it is entirely possible that a player makes a profit yet is still left with some tokens at the end.

What seemed, at first sight, to be a problem - the excessive number of tokens left over from the last game - now becomes a feature, in that a person may be left with tokens for the next game. Once our "fund paid" value reaches 100%, then all the funds have been paid out. This won't happen till the last day, as usual, but there may be a scramble to cash out at the best prices.

Don't forget, there are also two prizes at the end for the two players still holding the most tokens at the closing bell. With the first prize of 20 STEEM and the second prize of 10 STEEM, there will be some calculations needed as to how many tokens are worth keeping compared to their value on the market. The winners have to transfer their winning tokens, so I will post the winners as quickly as possible.

Just to reassure players that if these innovations prove to be completely useless, then they shall be abandoned in the future. No funds are at risk and, as we have so many players having bought at 1 cent, I don't see anybody making an actual loss.

So how will these buybacks work? Today's ABV is at 1.37 cents, so I shall place an open buy of 2,000 TULIP tokens at 0.014 STEEM. This releases 28 STEEM from our fund. You will see how the numbers have changed in our financial overview above.

For those holding 1-cent tokens, this is already a 40% profit in 5 days - take it or leave it!
