Ahoy everyone. I've been a little busy and haven't been able to play as much during the Charge Up event, so I didn't really have much to post. At least not to make a longer post. So with this post I'll recap a little bit of the Charge Up event and then we get into some info about Shiny Rainy Form Castform being added to the game today!

The past week we've had the first every Electric-type Pokémon event called Charge Up. Which had a lot of Electric-type Pokémon spawn in the wild and Voltorb during the Spotlight Hour last week. Several Electric-type Pokémon were hatching from 5 km Eggs obtained during the event too, including Shinx!

With this event the Electric-type Pokémon Tynamo, the EleFish Pokémon, has been added to the game. It evolves into Eelektrik for 25 Tynamo Candy and can then evolve into Eelektross for 100 Tynamo Candy and a Unova Stone. Tynamo were spawning in the wild and obtainable as an encounter from the event Field Research Task "Catch 25 Electric-type Pokémon". Here you can see a wild encounter I had and the subsequent Pokédex registry.

Despite it being an event featuring a lot of Electric-type Pokémon spawning, one day on my way back home I encountered a wild Nidoking and the next day I encountered a wild Nidoqueen! I found this quite funny, especially with these rarely spawning. So I wanted to include them! The Nidoking was a 2* and Nidoqueen was surprisingly a 3*, sadly in the 80-90% IV range though.

As I mentioned in a previous post I was likely going to evolve the 100% Nosepass on a Magnetic Lure during the next weekend. I didn't make a post after that weekend, so here is that Nosepass evolved into a Probopass!

During the time that I was able to play throughout the week I did get a few Field Research Tasks with Tynamo encounters. One of them was a 98% IV! Unfortunately not a 100% but at least that's my best Tynamo currently. I managed to trade a few Tynamo with a friend and got a Lucky Tynamo. Its stats are quite bad, but if I don't get a better one I'll evolve this one at some point to get them Lucky in the Pokédex. I'll still have to get some more Candy though as you can see I barely have enough to evolve 1 Tynamo to Eelektross.

Elekid was hatching from 5 km Eggs obtained during the event. I was able to finally hatch a Shiny Elekid! 🤩 You can see it in this photo.

How did the Charge Up event go for you?

Today the first ever Weather Week event has started. This event will be featuring Pokémon that enjoy rainy or windy conditions and those will be spawning more in the wild. Such as Wingull and Ducklett. With this event Shiny Rainy Form Castform will be making its debut to Pokémon GO!!

In the main series, only Castform's Normal form could be Shiny. Now with Generation VIII, its alternate forms have finally received a Shiny Form too! They were first shown in Pokémon Home. Castform currently isn't present in Pokémon Sword and Shield, meaning Pokémon GO is the first game to introduce the Shiny Rainy Form Castform!

Pokémon that enjoy rainy conditions like Vaporeon, Lotad, Stunfisk and many more will be appearing more frequently in the wild from March 24 at 10 am through March 27 at 10 am local time.
Then from March 27 at 10 am through March 29 at 8 pm local time Pokémon like Skarmory, Taillow, Pidove and many more that enjoy windy conditions will be appearing more frequently in the wild.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing some Vaporeon spawn in the wild and hope I will be able to encounter plenty. And of course I'll be on the lookout for Rainy Castform!

What are you looking forward to during this event?
