What Constitutes Blockchain Gaming?

Strange Question, I know.

As more and more blockchain games come online, especially here on Hive, I find the need to define what exactly we shall consider a "blockchain game".

We've now added what I believe to be almost all Hive blockchain games to our new website https://hiveblockchaingaming.com, however there are will be more fridge blockchain games that arise. Should these games be considered blockchain games or not is the question.

Is it enough to simply use Hive Keychain to login to a game, with no transactions being recorded to the chain?

In this case a Hive blockchain account/wallet is required to login and play the game, but that's it. While other games will use the blockchain to record digital asset ownership, game results, incorporate in-game crypto currency, and may go as far as recorded in-game events during game play.

We need your help with a quick survey!

Please let us know your opinion below in the comments regarding which criteria you believe a game must meet in order to be considered a blockchain game.

A) A game that only uses Hive account login is considered a blockchain game.

B) A game must record at least one type of transaction such as game results to the blockchain to be considered a blockchain game.

C) A game must record both game results and assets ownership to the blockchain to be considered a blockchain game.

D) A game must utilize Hive login, record game results, and asset ownership in order to be considered a blockchain game.

Please Record A, B, C, or D in the comments below and of course opinions and feedback is always appreciated. 🙏

That's an important question for people to ask!
I would say a version of B.
The game must record and track asset ownership. I'm cool with the entire game being offchain as long as its getting data from my onchain items.

Hello.
Why do not to use the dpoll for that? :)

The variant
D) A game must utilize Hive login, record game results, and asset ownership in order to be considered a blockchain game

& the notice: the game can be as like "on blockchain" but not to be "blockchain game at all".
As like Splinterlands is the game on blockchain, and we hope, you know the difference and what variant it is)

I'd go for C as asset ownership records are kinda a must for blockchain games. It's like the best bit about them.
