A fresh bed to gaze upon.

Afternoon Steemers,
Today I share some progress shots of a fresh garden we installed at an existing clients property in Brisbane.

The grass was really struggling in this sheltered position and was throwing the feel of the yard off. The clients asked for something more floral against the shed.

The bed was marked out and the grass removed, the soil profile was terrible and dry.

It's amazing how much grass comes up from a little spot.

A good amount of fertiliser and organics were dug into the soil before planting and the holes for the new plants were created.
When planting I like to fill the holes I've dug with a half strength seaweed solution and water them allow to drain before planting, this encourages the roots to go deeper and helps to relieve the stress of planting.

My plants of choice were these Gardenias, they will be kept below the window height and should be a sea of fragrant white flowers in no time.

Thanks for stopping by and happy gardening,
Sam.
