The things you find on a typical day in a garden.

Steemers,
Here's some more things I've spotted on my daily gardening adventures....I hope you enjoy!

My favourite Bee known as Amegelia sp. or the "Blue Banded" Bee. A solitary Bee that typically nests in holes in soil and/or mud.
Their pollination method is called "buzz" pollination, a process worth looking up.
😉

"Golden Barrel" Cactus beginning to look more barrel like finally.

Neomarcia or "Walking Iris" fills a shady position in a garden quite nicely. But, be warned it does literally walk itself to new spots.

A great privacy screen and super hardy plant are these "Pencil Pines".... no points for guessing where they get their common name from.

Thanks for stopping by again Steemers, happy gardening and all that!
Sam.

We also have amegilla bees, they look a little different to yours and they are fun to watch when they do their shaking thing.
So how does this iris walk?

It's just throws a fresh set of roots out every time a new part of the plant touches soil, slowly walking it's way to fill the garden.
Fairly easy to keep in check though.
