our City is full of things that can make us Smile - NJOYing the Little Things

...welcome to the other side: this post is a continuation of one published at our sister chain Steem in order to try and get Steemians over to our chain.

I don't like all those who cross-post on both chains without changing anything to the content trying to get double - or more - the rewards. But, I do think we shall make the effort to make Steemians aware of HIVE and show them natural paths to our community here on HIVE. We may continue with all the comments, but I prefer a range of posts adding value in one way or the other whilst including links to posts on our HIVE chain.

That one starts with...

With large part of Europe (and the world) in lockdown situation, we shall try to spin this to positivity. Since our lives are less hectic; We can't run from task to task anymore; Much of what we normally do, we need to postpone; Why not use our extra free time to enjoy the little things?

...and here we continue to enjoy these Little Things...

When we let children handle the tasks, we get this... The sun always close to us.

Although not spring yet, flowers are grown year round in many of the greenhouses we have in my country. Much of it is for export. With the lockdown, much less airplanes flying, large stock of flowers are pilling up. Several companies are already discounting heavily and some others handing out flowers for free. Guess the city government got its hands on a large stock of them. Many of our gazillion bridges in the city are upgraded with these yellow creations; How beautiful! I can even smell them from a little distance; No kidding!

Since recent years, our city council is doing their utmost best to try and get its citizens to add more green around and on top of the building we live in. But I didn't realise we took it even a step further. Check this rooftop garden on one of our poster advertsiement columns! Too funny :) ... Ok ok, it needs some maintenance, but I suppose this will happen soon when the real spring kicks in.

Several shop signs made me smile a lot; Like this one: Is it a Garage for Cars or a Bakery? Maybe the owner uses car engines to bake whatever they bake? Or is this a modern way to combine different services into one little shop? Difficult to conclude now these type of places are closed.

Owww, "Bakker" is Dutch for "Bakery", but I suppose you got that already :)

Never noticed this one: HOPE. At first didn't really notice what kind of shop it was; Turned out to be a fashion shop. A fashion shop for out-of-the-ordinary sizes, ie large sizes. Why would they call this HOPE? Smiley time for sure :)

Around the corner of HOPE, this store with the - supposedly Japanese brand - Hidden. Fun fact: The whole facade was made of glass; But completely blinded. Very HIDDEN for sure :)

Just a little further down the street, several grocery stores and this wine shop; Chilled wines even! And: up to 2 toilet roles for free when buying a carton of bottles HAHAHAHA... We didn't lost our humour yet! :)

In between all these human made 'Little Things' I'll show you a shot of one of the so may beautiful trees we have through the city centre. Many of them really old ones; Like this one.

I showed you below shot already in the parent post, but like to include it here as well. While walking through a few blocks, I noticed at least a dozen of these children games crayoned onto our pavements. The children nowhere to be found (maybe this had to do with the time of my walk, which was pretty early in the morning); Every time I saw one of these, brought a little smile to me: Children having fun, no matter what! We adults shall learn from them!

...This is what I mean! How lovely all these hearts! I somehow hope adults where involved making these, but I would not be surprised it were children only who came up with the idea and decided to bring some happiness into a somewhat boring street and trying to give some smiles to anybody who decide to notice and appreciate the little things!

Lets follow the Examples: Carpe Diem
