New Week New Experiences..

Hope everyone is having a great start of the week. Not the best of times, but we can learn to make the best use of our time regardless right? Yesterday, I mentioned I would give you guys a mini garden update, to follow up on my mini gardening project for the summer.

Initially, I shared about this project on my Steem blog, but seeing I will be mainly based here, it makes more sense to share the update here, though perhaps most of you may have missed on that. Incase you' d like to see how it started off, then feel free to check out this post

We've been experiencing some small rains at intervals here in Madrid, which has been really great for the garden. Some of the veggies we planted require constant water supply and the rains have come in handy on days we may have forgotten to water them.

On this post, I will walk you guys on the veggies and fruits we have so far, and show you how they are looking as of today.

Spices/Herbs

On this category, we planted some coriander, some rosemary and mint. The best part of my evening is always days when I can pick up a few mint leaves for my cocktails, or some rosemary for some meaty dinner with a little bit of the coriander. Food states so much better when it's done with plants you have sweat for, trust me.

Fruits..

We don't have a lot of these. The only thing we found we could easily manage to grow were strawberries and 2 different types of melons. The strawberries are looking amazing so far. Some we are carrying forward from last summer, surprisingly they survived through winter. We added a few more in order to reap heavily this summer.

The covered section below we have planted some melons and peas. The melons haven't sprouted yet, but we are very hopeful. If you look closely, you can see the peas are already peeping out, very exciting! No, peas are not fruits, but they are yummy!

Vegetables

This is what we have dedicated a lot of the garden space to. We love veggies and they are even better when they are fresh! We have some kale, spinach, tomatoes, green beans and carrots!

Tomatoes

This is one thing I am really enjoying day in day out. Taking care of the garden and watching my little plants grow. It's amazing how even with all the chaos out there, this little plants have life and they are thriving like never before, without a care in the world. Mother nature is truly fascinating.

If you can, make some effort to grow something of your own. You don't even have to have a garden. I have seen people making a whole terrace garden out of planting pots, it's true what they say, where there is a will, there is a way.
