Gods Unchained Raffles - Let's get that last Mythic!
Gods Unchained - The trading card game that recently opened its gates in an Open Beta just launched a raffle. Best part is it costs nothing to enter and win Raffle Tickets! Just some skill!

The game has core cards that you can win by playing (you get 16 packs for free after installing the game) and it's also currently still selling their Genesis Cards for Ethereum (you need metamask to purchase (works similar to KeyChain on Steem)).
By winning games on the beta, you and the person who recruited you gets a raffle ticket. Needless to say after you grab your beta key you will also be able to invite other players yourself for chances to win raffle tickets, you can do so here
If you read the Mythic Card description, it would be pretty cool if a Steemian won it, so let's get to it. ;) There are only 4 Mythic's in total, 1 that was auctioned early on for about $60k, 2 that were found by purchasing Genesis packs and Tethys is going to be the last one for now. There are some other cool rewards you can win with the raffles, it will be active until October 24th so plenty of time to play and win those raffles!
For those who used to play Hearthstone you may easily get in the game and know how to play it. I'm a big fan of this game and looking forward to how it will evolve in the future, true ownership and being able to trade cards is something Hearthstone and Blizzard has lacked. Not to mention the art is amazing in Gods Unchained!

What would you say how much you have to invest in the game to have a decent competitive deck?
They recently added @ChrisClay | Game Director, former Game Director for Magic The Gathering Arena to their team and according to him the core cards are a lot more powerful and will exist in most decks for competitive play, having said that they are still balancing cards on a regular basis. Just wanted to say that other games also have MTG high ups who were former advisors and the games went nowhere. Novablitz had this guy and it failed miserably(the game is actually quite good and better than MTG too) https://novatoken.io/about_us http://www.threedonkeys.com/about.html
Also the creator Creator of MTG helped to create Artifact and it ended up sucking dick.
Be careful of the big names from MTG being used to create credibility and hype. Many of these games don't last too long in the blockchain world, I honestly can't think of one that lasted longer than a year with more than 1,000 players.
These card games != investments, its a gamble that the game is gonna do well.
I "invested" in many games over the years, most of them flopped. Some of them were huge gaming studios that previously created other games. I had some ships in Parsec Frontiers which was being made by the same gaming studio who created BattleStar Galactica Online(a big game). Parsec Frontiers flopped. Often in the crypto world people are in it for making quick money, dumping on the people who came in late and peacing out.
Gods Unchained looks no different to me than any of the other crypto games I have played. After the initial hype wears off people start to sell and take their profits and it tanks the entire game economy when that happens. I have played at least 2 dozen crypto games.
I tend to get hooked on these games so Splinterlands is all I can afford right now! Although it be worth the shot!

It's free to play, only if you want the Genesis Cards you need to buy packs with ETH. You can win Core cards (about 200 different ones I think) by playing and now also raffle tickets by winning.
Agree but like others it is pay to win probably and I am very competitive! My Splinterlands “career” started with a Starter Pack and 10 Booster Packs; now my collection is worth more than my Steem Account!
