Blockchain Tron (TRX) Issues Nearly 1 Billion Tether 34 (USDT)

Hello friends of all the following I will discuss about tron, I @good-darma from Indonesia, and I am very fond of writing on steem.

According to data provided by CoinMetrics, the number of Tether (USDT) that has been issued on the Tron (TRX) blockchain is almost 1 Billion.

Tron continues to inch closer to surpassing Bitcoin when it comes to total USDT supply. At the time of writing, the Omni-based Tether stands at around 1.5 Billion after witnessing a steady decline in 2019.

In the world of Tether, Bitcoin surrenders to Ethereum on October 30. It took the ERC-20 version of the world's leading stablecoin in less than two years to achieve this achievement. Now, the gap between the two coins continues to widen with Ether-based total supply reaching nearly 2.5 billion tokens.

As reported by the newspaper, Tron CEO Justin Sun made an ambitious prediction that the TRC20-based USDT would end up being number one stable. Given the rapid growth of USDT-ETH, it won't be easy for Tron to turn around his bitter rivals.

Gold-backed stable coins

Tether is constantly expanding its list of offerings. On January 23, the company launched Tether Gold (XAU ₮) which was pegged to troy ounce of gold. New tokens are available on Ethereum and Tron blockchains.

The main selling point of this product is that the holder is not required to pay storage fees. The first day's XAUT volume reached $ 150,000, which was a pretty strong start.
