Hardfork 21

The old STEEM is gone (well mostly) and the new STEEM is here (give or take). The changes set STEEM out of wack for a while there earlier today, but I wasn't trying to log on or anything since I was at work while HF21 had STEEM down. The obvious change, as I'm sure we are all well aware, is the change from 50/50 to 75/25 curator:author reward distribution. There were some other steemeconomic and steem improvement proposals, but I'm not here to get into the specifics of HF21 because, for one, I don't really know anything beyond the reward distribution change if I'm being completely honest. I'm sure I will probably read a bunch of posts about it here in the next few days.

Will my approach change after full implementation?

My approach to STEEM isn't really going to change a whole lot. I already vote and curate on posts I think are quality and deserve my vote, and even try to time my votes for optimal return. I think this was another minor change of HF21 -- voting window for optimum return on curation was altered from 15 minutes to I believe 5 minutes after an article has been posted on the STEEM blockchain (please, by all means, correct me if I am wrong).

As I said, I try to vote a lot, and my voting mana never really gets fully recharged. I'm usually somewhere around 85% voting power on any given day. I try to keep it pegged around 85% since I also follow a few curation trails that upvote automatically for me, so when it dips below 85, my auto votes will not be casted until recharged. I realize this may raise show brows since the whole idea here is manual curation, but I still manually curate and set votes as well. The argument could even turn 180 degrees here because technically auto votes are manually set. Nonetheless, I am not here to argue nor do I care what anyone else thinks about my voting style. If you don't like it, then don't follow or vote for me. I'm not going to get butt hurt about this or cry because someone downvoted one of my posts.

Oh, downvotes! That's another one! I think downvotes will be good to rid of some of the crap content that gets promoted straight to trending pages here on STEEM. It may start a whole other battle with flag wars where shit gets slinged every which way, but if they are used in the right way, then I think this could be a big one for new STEEM.

I guess I will still be remaining active, posting frequently, upvoting more, and stacking STEEM. I intend to keep this thing building. I have been doing quite well recently, investing in new projects; earning steem-engine tokens; and engaging as much as possible. It may not be as much as @newageinv, but at least I haven't completely dropped from the face of the Earth like a lot of people have.

Let's keep grinding and pushing STEEM higher

STEEM may be low, but the price does not reflect everything taking place. The current price is an opportunity to propel us forward. Prices this low are screaming buy while also taking a little here and a little there to invest in projects that are taking full advantage of STEEMs utilities -- @spinvest.

I can't say SPinvest enough, as most of my recent posts have tagged the account or even the founder @silverstackeruk himself. Look into this project if you haven't already, the growth has seriously been unreal thus far. We are looking to add more investors to the club and help propel SPI to the moon. Get in on the action before the 1 million tokens have been distributed. You will wish you had when the chance was there. Similar to STEEM, the price is reasonable, but it won't be for long.
