Fascinating Insect: Fire-Tailed Wasp
I found this insect around the swamp. It is called fire-tailed wasp which probrably refer to the color of its tail. I guess, I came in late afternoon that made this insect was a bit calm, not making a lot of move that eased me to take a couple of shots of this good looking insect. I saw many of them around, but I prefer to focus on a single fire-tailed wasp that was perching on the dried grass. The fire tailed is classified into Symphyta, a parasitic wood wasps, scientific name Orussus abietinus that lineage to sawflies.
