Paper Wasp Builds a Nest
This paper wasp was captured by my smartphone camera a few days ago. I saw it was in the nest.
Paper wasps have a tendency to evade when you approach them while they are sucking flower nectar. But not so if they are on the nest, because they always protect the nest as much as possible from enemy interference. They will react angrily if they feel threatened and sting you. I've experienced it.
The nest isn't completely finished. Only three capsule-shaped chambers have been completed, while the others are still in the building stage. I didn't see any other wasps in the nest. I thought it was building the nest by itself.
