Jumping spider gorgeousness

Jumping spider stairs pl 6.jpg

I was walking up the stairs towards the entrance door of my family when I saw this guy staring at right on edge of stair railing. I am not sure if I disturbed his hunting trip, or he wanted to go inside.

Big eyes, furry legs...
Of course I grabbed my camera I stalked him for a bit.
He walked up for a bit and I thought he will jump down and I will not see him again.

But no...
He just looked how far down it was, then looked at me as if he was asking what the hell I want from him and then continued to walk around a bit.

I left him doing his thing about about 15 min, though I could watch him for much longer. He was quite big for a Jumping Spider. The ones I sometimes see among my plants on my balcony are about half the size. I guess I don't feed them well enough.
All equally adorable though!

I am just thinking.. if they were bigger, we could pet those furry heads like we do pet cats and dogs :) Scratch a bit, ask for a paw... and they will look at you with their big, black eyes and wiggle the pedipalps all happy.
They are just so cute!

And now I can almost hear all the people that hate spiders scream yuuuuuukkkk noooooooo!

Just beautiful, spiders is something I always like to see, but I wouldn't want it to jump right at me, haha.

Great photos!
I like spiders, it's a pity I just can not distinguish a poisonous spider. I will hope that I will not meet with him! :-)))

Thank you!
I don't know how many really poisonous spiders like in Europe. I think we are quite lucky here and most do not do much harm.

I think that in Cyprus there are few poisonous spiders, maybe there are none at all.
I need to read information about this :-))

haha .. An adventure. An exciting moment, even if it's only done at home. I'm sure it's not easy to get good pictures. The seconds where someone is between hope and disappointment, and the heart beats too. But I guess, the guy who is the object of photography is also very heart pounding ... in a few seconds, he thinks how will be his fate ... LOL
Excellent results!

Amazing eyes, you really had an opportunity to get up close and personal with this little guy.

Our jumping spiders are not very big so if that one is another smallish one you really had a great photo shoot!

This one was less than 1 cm and it was the biggest ones I saw. They are quite small :)

They are gorgeous while they are small :) If you saw one of a size of a cat it would not be that pretty i am sure lol

He looks bigger btw, I love the eyes they have. Keeps moving so constantly.
