Fossil Adult Termite and Dragonfly

Hello All Insect Lovers And My Hivean Friends!

Yesterday was a rainy day and night. So we had a lot of insects here. Especially at night if one of the insects came out of the ground in quantity. It is known as ulu in our region. Usually, when these insects emerge from the ground, their wings grow. But after flying for a while it gradually loses its wings and dies.

This is a fossil adult termite. I found it by searching on google. Especially when the vision comes, the next day a large number of such insects come out of the ground. Especially in older soils, such insects can be found living inside the soil in large numbers. And after the rains they come out of the soil by holes. Yesterday when I was sitting in the room there was a large number of these insects coming out of our house and while I was sitting in the room there were many types of insects on the table and on the floor. Then I took photographs of them which I have now shared with you.

It is a dragonfly. I found this insect lying dead on my tea table. Maybe an insect hit it or it fell on the room because it was raining and windy outside because the door was open. And when I saw it there were other insects beside it and the lizards were flocking to eat them. Because of the rain yesterday, a lot of insects have arrived in the house because it has rained for a long time.

But after flying for a while it gradually loses its wings and dies.

These are male termites that lose their wings after the mating flight. Those that do not find a queen will die soon after the flight. However, those who find a queen establish a new state together with her and can then live for up to 20 years!
