All living things, especially human, require health related fitness to enjoy good health. It is important at this stage to consider further what good health means. Good health means good body structure, ability to resist diseases and germs, ability to endure stress, ability to discharge excess energy, ability to have strong, flexible and adoptable, sensitive and fresh body structure, good reaction time, compact firm structure, etc.

It is when you have those qualities to a certain level that you will be able to take part in games and sports easily without undue danger to yourself. The more cardio respiratory fitness you have, the fitter you become.

The ability of your lungs and your heart to function effectively is the most important indices of your overall health. This quality also means, good blood supply to all important organs of the body, it means ability to work for a long time, it means clear thinking, less fatigue, less headache, less tiredness. In nutshell it means sound health.
Cardiovascular health can be acquired by simply running, jogging or walking. The moment the lungs are incapable of supplying the body with enough oxygen, the brain will not function properly. It will lose the ability to focus, concentrate and think properly. That, in turn, will disturb the proper functioning of the liver, kidney, intestines, muscles and other important organs of the body.

Lack of enough oxygen will increase the rate at which cells in the brain and body organs will age and die off, thereby making you less and less effective until you finally lose the ability of the cells to function.

Physiologist are unanimous that the more oxygen and blood you pump to all part of the body, the healthier, happier, stronger and better you become. They have proved that the less of oxygen and blood you pump round the body, the less health, less vigour, and vitality, the more disease and eventually premature ageing and death will come.
It is important to begin jogging programme as soon as possible if you have not already done so.

The real measure of the functionally of the cells, tissues, organs and system is how well do these parts of the body allow you to function. There is a strong inseparable link between health and fitness. In fact it is now clear that the degree of health is directly related to the fitness. That is the fitter you are, the healthier you become. The reverse is also true that the less the fitness, the less the health.

The point am making here is that you cannot enjoy good health without good fitness level. Please note that you do not necessarily need to be a sportsman or an athlete before you can be fit. That is fitness for life does not mean fitness for sports. The simple rule is that you should first have a fitness programme to make you healthy before you begin a sport or game.
