Liverpool who have most of their players on injury are having a big crisis, it's so obvious as they played without their defensive star Virgil van Dijk. It shows in the Premier League match against Brighton, and a penalty kick was caused in the start of the match. This was committed by the untested Nathinel Phillips, who played in place of van Dijk.

During the match, Liverpool correctly had two goals dismissed after the VAR review, but they also scored when the strong Diogo Jota slipped past the Brighton defense and scored the first goal of the match. Incidentally, the goal was the ninth for the young Portuguese in 14 Liverpool matches.

Brighton got another chance from the penalty spot when Danny Welbeck was kicked by Andy Robertson, and on the attempt from the 11-meter spot, Pascal Gross equalized to the final score 1-1. The weak home team has now only won one home game in the Premier League throughout 2020, after scoring a few goals. Against Liverpool they got two penalty kicks and Jürgen Klopp's team had two goals canceled out by VAR in the match with a lot of VAR focus, but the rulings seemed correct.
