Manchester City Take The Premier League Title

Although the match between Leicester City and Manchester United at the Old Trafford Stadium wasn't as I had expected because I had anticipated that they would carry the victory home, but what I never put into consideration was that Leicester City isn't a club to be toiled with.

The visitors in Manchester United's own home started the goal-scoring in just ten (10) minutes after the game began. Although Manchester United had more possession of the ball than they did, unfortunately, the mistake they did in the first half by allowing Leicester City to take the first goalscorer in their own home gave Leicester City more upper hand than them.

Lucky enough, Mason Greenwood was able to fire in score in the fifteen (15) minutes after Thomas volleyed in their first goal which helped them which leveled the game in the first half but unfortunately, Manchester United couldn't do more than that in the whole game.

Although they had more possession of the ball, they did not have enough strength and coordination to achieve more than one goal. Although the first half wasn't more of an issue, Mason was able to get an equalizer.

In the second half, Leicester City took control, making Manchester United struggle to keep up and in the sixty-six minutes, they made their second goal which was headed in by the Turkish defender Caglar Soyuncu. Funny enough, this happened just a few moments after Solskjaer decided to take the initiative of sending on his famous-name reinforcements.

It would have been an eye-sore if Leicester should have had more goals in the dominant second-half performance of Manchester United but thank goodness they did not have but notwithstanding, Manchester United lose to Leicester City yesterday gave Manchester City the access of carrying the Premier League cup.

Incredible for the third (3rd) time in four seasons, Manchester City would be named the champions of England again once again, and their seventh time in total. And for the first time at home in their twelve (12) games, United was beaten. Leicester City yesterday saw an opportunity and fair enough, they took the chance and got a deserving goal.

Although they tried hard in making sure to close the gap and rescue their team, unfortunately, their effort wasn't good enough as they ended the match with just a single attempt on Leicester’s goal.

I would also assume that their failure can also be as a result of Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire who has an ankle injury and was once the former Leicester defender. Also, Solskjaer’s team selection was quite bad, how could he put men like Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Paul Pogba on the bench at the start of the game. At least if those men were on the field in the first half, Leicester City wouldn't have had the opportunity of scoring the first goal that gave them an upper hand and advantage over manchester United,

His injury in his ankle is indeed a blow to the Manchester United team as there are still questions of whether he would be able to play this Month in the Europa League final in Gdansk.

Yesterday was indeed a turnaround for Manchester United as they used to be the team who kept other teams in a hopeless, and tight corner and watched the other team lost their nerve, but yesterday, they were put in such a tight corner and they watch themselves not been able to help themselves in such a hopeless situation.

Man City win Premier League, Is there still little hope for the teams like West Ham and Liverpool that they might be able to break the top four?

Manchester United have just handed the Premier League title to fierce rivals Manchester City by losing 2-1 to Leicester, if only they were a little bit well prepared, the title wouldn't have been an easy one for Manchester City. All the United needed to do was avoid delay in the Old Trafford Stadium which would have helped them delayed the title handed over to Manchester City for at least two more days but they couldn't.

They were not in their best form and their manager's decision Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s to field a weakened lineup helped worsen the whole situation.

Leicester City's win yesterday has helped the team lift themselves above Chelsea into the third position with four (4) points above them and eight (8) points above fifth-place West Ham in the Premier League race for a top-four finish.

Manchester City holds an unassailable 10-point lead over second-place United although they still have three more games remaining for each team it is obvious that their fate has already been sealed by yesterday's game loss to Leicester City.

Manchester City's bid to qualify for the next season's Champions League has already been ignited by yesterday's match and this is going to be an easy one for them.

An applaud for Pep Guardiola’s side because they've done so well this season by taking the Premier League title once again while the Manchester United team and their fans wallow in pain and disappointment.

Although the Manchester United team with their manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer did incredible work this season, the truth is that much was expected from them. Although so many of us knew the Manchester City team would be the team to carry the title, we never expected it to be so fast.

Humph, I feel deeply sorry for their defeat but this is football, anything can happen at any given time. So what is expected to happen will always happen.
