Why I'm Here On Steemit
Good Morning, Steemians! :D (Said like Robin Williams character in Good Morning, Vietnam, a fantastic movie. :D)
My handsome husband was the person that brought me to Steemit, he was on it before I was. :D He suggested I try it for myself and I said to him, "What the heck would I blog about?" and he said, "Our homestead and all of us living on it.", so I decided to give it a try. :D
I didn't think I'd get any followers other than my handsome husband and our children after they got their own accounts. :D I wasn't sure anyone would care about our little homestead, puppies, grand-puppies, pigs, chickens, and cows, thankfully I was wrong. :D I'm blessed to be at, and still amazed that I'm up to, 847 followers right now. :D Thank you to everyone that's following me, I appreciate you all. :D
I've met some very amazing people here on Steemit, the first one that I got to know a bit was @papa-pepper and his fabulous family. :D Then I met @paradise-found, another incredible human being with a huge heart. :D He was the one that started the #gratefulvibes challenge that helped me remember to appreciate all my blessings, not just the big/splashy ones. :D Thanks for that papa bear. :D I've also met some stupendously friendly and lovely ladies on here, @snook, @sunnylife, @zephalexia, @freedomtowrite, and their families. :D We've become friends and some of us have been lucky enough to link up on Discord and talked together in groups and one-on-one. :D I cherish all the awesome folks I've met on here most of all, that's one of the main reasons why I keep coming back. :D
I'm the only member of my family that actually posts and comments on Steemit now, and I've been on here almost every day since I joined. :D The only times I've missed a post is when we've lost power or internet service has gone down. :D I write about our days here and how the herd/pigs/chickens or dogs are behaving, any adventures we may have (like escaped cows or dogs), or visitors that come by. :D I do my best to reply to any and all comments within 24-48 hours of receiving them, hopefully getting a dialogue going between visitors and myself in the process. :D
All are welcome to visit and say hi whenever they have a spare moment. :D I always love a good visit, they make me smile, especially when its @snook, she makes me smile every time. :D

I was worried that I wouldn't have anything to say and that people would be bored to tears with my posts, but thankfully people have been nothing but supportive to/of me since the day I joined. :D I've been quite blessed that this was my first foray into blogging and it has gone much better than I anticipated. :D
I love that there is something for everyone on here, from gardening to childcare, to homesteading, to homeopathic tips and so much more. :D There's no way to get bored of/on Steemit, overwhelmed possibly, but never bored. :D

@snook makes everybody smile! Amazing story and hopefully the rest of your family will pick up the bug like you have for posting and commenting, I made my boys accounts but getting them to use them is another matter lol.
But it's the fun that keeps us here, the people, friends made, learning new things and seeing incredible places from around the world where we may never visit - but some how we have now through Steem Blockchain. And upvotes are the icing of course !COFFEEA 5

Exactly, I love being able to look back on the progress we've made here on our homestead over the past couple of years, thanks to my blog. :D
I wish I'd started blogging sooner so we'd always remember how much work we've done. :D This was trees, rocks, and scrub brush when we bought the land and it's been hard, but also quite rewarding, and we wouldn't want to live anywhere else. :D
