Qurator's Photo Quest | Figurines !!
What is a Figurine, in simply form it is in a smaller dimension then a huge statue, it is a smaller sculpture that can represent a human, animal or a small group of them. Figurines can be made of metal, glass, wood, clay and even of a plastic resin. I have a few small figurines around my house some carved out of wood and some done in metal case iron.
My favorite figurine is this small metal case iron Buddha that represents peace, I bought it back with me when, I visited Thailand and what was more appropriate then bringing back a Buddha from the Buddhism country of Thailand, this Buddha looks over you keeping you in peace and harmony. As a tradition a Buddha of any sort must be kept higher above then you like on a cabinet or shelf to be sure that it is looking down at you keeping you safe and at peace and harmony never have them sitting on the floor, this is insult and disrespectful to the Buddhism religion.

This small Buddha figurine in Thailand is known as the Buddhist of Agriculture he will bring all the wealth and strength for you to enable to sow and reap riches out of your farm or garden, we have him looking over our garden is why, I think everything grows so healthy.

These two carved out wooden figurines not sure where they came from, I think they followed me home from a bar, I was drinking in over in Fiji, long ago, I think they took a liking to me or I think I took a liking to them in any case they ended up coming home with me and after so many years they are still following me around. 🤣

Then there is my wolf clock that wollllllfffffff me out of bed every morning 😣
And last is my little dirty friend that has been around for years opening up my beers, I keep telling him to take a shower but, I have given up, I am use to his grubby look after so many years been my dirty little friend 🤣
