A Derelict Farmhouse and a Scaredy Cat!

I've not done many proper explores of late, but we accidentally stumbled across this farmhouse, as we were on our way home. Our antennas are always on high alert for anything derelict looking.

The main building was all boarded up, so we just had a nosey around the outer buildings.

The cars were being eaten up by nettles. Note to myself: don't wear shorts on an explore!

My brother is just recovering from a heart attack and having a stent put in. It was at this point, a cat and a blackbird shot out from nowhere and nearly gave him another!

I think there may be a few more cats still living on the property, but someone is feeding them, thankfully.

I can remember as a child putting brylcreem on my dad's hair. I can still smell it to this day.

A nice, unexpected little explore. Now where is that dock leaf??

Oh! We are superstitious! We won’t go into abandoned houses!

I was born on the 13th so it's not looking good for me. 😅🤣

Hahaha. Very funny! For Chinese people, 13 is a very good and lucky number! Different culture, different superstitions! 😂😂

I thought that afterwards. My mum always said that she was lucky having me on the 13th. It was very sweet of her, even though I've not always been sweet! 😀

Brylcream. Reminds me of my grandad. White hair brylcreamed straight back. His flat caps were cakeD in it inside. Yuck!

Now that my hair is more grey than black, it's unruly. I might have to use some brycreem ha ha ... not!
