Rural Urbex: going down the rabbit hole (Qanon, this is not)

oh the world of urbex attracts different kinds of folk, the good the bad and the ugly.

This place has been visited by many and alas sold out to the rags for fame and glory by those sad little fuckers who really don't understand the term and the unwritten code of "urbex". A curse upon all their houses.

lurid headlines across said rags, and social media; goontuber clickbait.

"we find the caves of the knights templar"
"join us as we tour the underground temple of devil worshippers"

Wankers!

I visited this place about three years ago, just before the tour bus passengers were desperate to find it. FFS it's got its own wiki page and atlas obscure page. Shows how lazy and dim these umbexers, pseudo explorers and day trippers really are, begging on social media for locations. A curse upon all their houses.

I believe what the scientists and noted academics tell me, that it was a folly constructed in the 19th century.

At the time of my visit, there were no hidden spy cams in the woods, not even any keep out signs, to advertise the location ( in a small woods on a private estate). As alleged in some of the rags.

so let's go down the rabbit hole and catch us some of them satanists

to be honest contrary to some posts, the place is dark damp and quite compact.

more likely it's a gathering spot for the local kids to meet up to "chill and watch netflix "
discarded lager cans, wine bottles and a couple of those rubber johnny things.

Didn't take much to find what these are. I have seen some reports but haven't taken much interest. Some blokes went in and found the entrance blocked when they tried to get out..., made me laugh!

The landowner does not want visitors I guess and will even trap them alive!
