Path to the past

Today I go to the old town again. Many buildings of the 19th century have been preserved here. Hope to find something interesting. Anyway, I want to find evidence of the past.

In the last century, there were shopping arcades and warehouses here. The houses are under state protection, they are architectural monuments.

I want to enter the courtyard. There I will surely find old premises

Nobody has lived here for a long time. The old bell and lantern are witnesses to this.

As I thought, there were some kind of storehouses here.

Preserved electrical wiring. Most likely, there is a watchman who is watching the territory.

Brickwork is almost destroyed in places.
I'm not surprised, almost 200 years have passed.

Here are the traces of time, I found an old forged nail in the wall.

Nobody has used this gate for a long time either, I think for a dozen years, for sure

But you can still go further.
There is a kind of wooden annex here. And the door is open there. I decided to drop by.

Only a wooden staircase to the second floor. Obviously there is a watchman here.

I decided to go back. To be honest, it is somehow alarming in such remote places. I'm not a very brave researcher)

Still, it turned out to explore a small corner of the century before last. Therefore, I will consider the walk successful.

These traces of the past time are very interesting - old bricks, faceted nails... A wonderful walk turned out.

Sometimes it amazes how the old cities are similar to each other), in fact, just like the new ones) If you had not signed what kind of city it is, I would say with 100 percent certainty that these are pictures from Kharkiv!)

Все купеческие улицы выглядели примерно одинаково - каменные и полукаменные дома с внутренними двориками, - они образовывали городские усадьбы.

Так и я о том же)
Как и советские постройки, все на один манер...
