I was at the Buddhist temple at Bencoolen Street recently. We were locked out as the temple was closed during the weekends. It probably means one the major event during the Chinese New Year may not happen this year. That's the opening of the treasure of the goddess of mercy which happens on the 26th day of the first lunar month. There was this time I went there in 2014. I like to go early in the morning to finish what I needed to do there because there is always a big crowd.

我最近去了四马路的观音堂。他们周末没开。这可能意味着一个在农历新年期间的活动会取消。那就是在正月26日的宝开放。2014年我去那里清早就请了红包。我喜欢清早去因为迟了就更多人。
