繼續英格蘭第次封城日記。這次是第6輯第51到60日，從2月24日至3月5日。


This is part 6 of my Lockdown journal and covers days 51 to 60 between 24 February to 5 March 2021. I post this everyday on my Facebook page to keep my overseas friends and family, and followers up to date with what UK covid lockdown life is like.

Lockdown 3.51

This beautiful mural of an Orca whale and tortoise was painted in the beginning of the year by a local artist in town. I've heard about it but only came to see it myself recently.
這副大鯨魚和海龜壁畫年初由鎮裡一名本地畫家創作。之前都有聽聞過，最近才記得來看。

Lockdown 3.52

There's always been a shortage of NHS dentists in UK, and Covid means the waiting list is getting longer. I registered yesterday, and because I need a filling, I can make an appointment immediately, but that's still for mid April. Guess I better cut back on cakes in the meanwhile. For other new patients, they can only call on 1st April to make an appointment for... whenever a slot is available.
英國一直都缺NHS牙醫，武肺下要等更久才能看牙醫。 昨天去牙醫診所登記， 因為我要補牙， 可以馬上預訂約時間，但還是要排到4月中。 看來我這個螞蟻要在這段時間少吃甜點。其他新登記個案，要等到4月1號才能打電話去預約時間.... 然後還不知要等多久。

Too nice a day not to come out for the sun
Makes you temporarily forget about reality
A reality that never should be
A reality that's overtaken the real reality
天氣那麼好不出來實在太可惜
環境讓人暫時忘掉現實
一個不應該有的現實
一個取代了真正現實的現實

Lockdown 3.54

很懷念台灣的美食
芋圓是其中一樣
今天第一次試做
Q 彈/煙韌度口感還可以
可惜英國芋頭沒台灣的香
Missing the Taiwan yummy food
Taro balls are one of them
Made them for the first time today
The texture was nice and soft
Sadly the taro in UK aren't as frangrant as the ones in Taiwan

Were originally £6.50 now reduced to £1.80
Gonna have roast chicken tonight and stir fry chicken tomorrow
Great bargain

Interesting piece of news I read over the weekend about the healthiest place in England. Its made up of various indices, one of which is healthy eating. Good to see 7 out of the top 10 is in the south west where I live ✌️
週末報紙報導英格蘭地區健康指數。其中一個排行榜是飲食健康。好高興看到前10名中的7名，都位於我住的西南部 ✌️

Having my favourite simple lunch again
Hot chocolate - free
Sausage rolls - £2.25 (£3 for 4, we had 3)

Lockdown 3.59

發覺自己封城後變到垃圾婆上身
各類型的瓶，罐，盒子都留著
總會找到機會循環再用
牛奶塑膠瓶剪開上部份可以種菜
很快又可以菜農婆婆上身
Since lockdown I've been hoarder a lot more
Keeping every bottle, can, box
Finding ways to reuse them
Plastic milk cartons are perfect for growing veggies
Gonna cut the top off and start farming soon

Lockdown 3.60

Last week I posted about the shortage of NHS dentist in UK and I need to wait till mid April for my appointment. My gum and ear started to hurt these few days which was worrying, so I decided to book private instead. Problem solved today, the dentist was super professional and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Clean bill of health for my tooth, time to celebrate with some chocolate 😊
上星期提過英國缺NHS牙醫，我要補牙但要排到4月中才可以看牙醫。這幾天牙肉和耳朵開始痛讓我有點擔心，還是決定馬上花多點錢預約看私家好了。問題很快在今天解決了，牙醫非常專業價格又比我想像中便宜。是時候吃點巧克力慶祝！😊

It's so refreshing to see that massive mural especially we're a seaside town and the beach is only at the end of this road

Glad you got the tooth fixed. Toothaches are one of my worst discomforts and agonies. My sister is a dentist so I don't really have that problem with appointments and schedules. She gives family first priority. How lucky can one get lol. Anyway, I hope with the vaccine, things may get back a bit to the old normal (fingers crossed).

Lucky you!!!! I think toothaches are really annoying because it's only that little area that is discomforting otherwise you feel perfectly fine, so you feel totally helpless.

When will Philippines start the vaccination program? Do you think you will get it very soon?

You said it about toothaches. They can drive you up the wall.

According to our Secretary of Health they should be rolling out the vaccines by the end of the second quarter of this year. So that'll be about June at the earliest.

I find I've become very minimalistic and a bit bohemian during this past year, so at least something good has come out of all this. Though I do feel like a bit of a hoarder, and am always saving plastic containers and carboard boxes in case I can make use of them 🙃

Its a slippery slope and a fine line between environmentalists and hoarder lol. I've been there. I have a large box of spare Ikea parts, little boxes, and all sorts of other stuff that I feel I need to hang onto. But deep down I know that none of it will ever get used hahaha

Sounds a bit like me keeping all my slim cut jeans in case I lose weight and can get back into them one day 🤣
