This is part 8 of my Lockdown journal and covers days 76 to 89 between 21st March to 3rd April 2021. I post this everyday on my Facebook page to keep my overseas friends and family, and followers up to date with what UK covid lockdown life is like.

The battle of the post
A few months ago I posted Christmas cards to some online friends
A few of them were really sweet and sent one back to me
Today I received a beautiful New Year's card
Sent from Hong Kong nearly 3 months ago!!!

It's a great idea to keep journals like this!
Before I couldn't tell cherry from plum blossoms either, so I checked that: cherry blossoms have longer stems, and their petals have a cleft at the tip.
wonder what this is... I tried to enlarge the image but it's really blurry, probably have to go back and take a look
I guess things there are still pretty bad for you there. Here in the USA, as more people get vaccinated , restrictions seem to be lessening. But we still have a ways to go. Fingers crossed.

It was really bad at the end of last year that's why we've been in lockdown since. Now half of the adult population have been vaccinated and this week the shops have just opened so we're slowing opening up. I just hope people don't think everything is back to normal yet because that's what happened when we came out from our second lockdown last November. Hope all with well with you in the States. Take care!
My thoughts exactly , hoping we don't let our guard down just yet, but we are moving in the right direction.
My daughter, my youngest, is getting married in October and I keep praying by then we will be able to have the big wedding she always dreamed of. She wants all her cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, the whole family there, and so does her future hubby. Our guest list stands at about 200. Fingers crossed.🤞

It is so sad that the Theaters and Movie Houses are left to their fate, one wonders when they would once again be in full swing. Pictures of the buildings are beautiful, thank you for sharing part of your life with us. Have a wonderful day.
Another update in the books. We did our COVID journal about the same time this month. Didn't see any plants this time? How are they doing? I have swiss chard left from my fall garden I planted in September, hardy plants to last for 6 months!
I haven't planted anything yet as I'm moving this weekend, plan to do it afterwards as I have a proper garden, albeit a bit untidy one at my new place, that would be fun!

I'm looking for support for HiveSQL. While "approved", the proposal is now unfunded because of the @hbdstabilizer consuming all DHF daily budget.
Do you mind voting for the HiveSQL proposal so it can stay free to use for all devs and users?

Sorry, got busy IRL the last couple of weeks and only just remembered to vote for the proposal. Great to see that it's funded already, hope it can stay that way going forward.
We are gradually opening up now and if all goes well, things should fully open up in June sometime. Just hope that everyone behaves well 🙃
