Our First Soccer Match! | 第一次參加足球比賽

Hi Everyone / 大家好，

Today we had Baby E’s first soccer comp match this season. Last night it was raining pretty hard so we were worried it was going to be cancelled and the kids would be so disappointed but we received a WhatsApp message this morning from the organiser to say it is still on! We woke up nice and early to make sure to leave the house at 7.50am to get to the park by 8am. Let me tell you, this is an earlier wake up than going to school so it wasn’t easy especially on a cold winter morning.

今天是 Baby E 第一次參加足球比賽. 昨晚落大雨所以都擔心今早不可以去比賽但幸好主辦單位這邊告訴我們照常去球場玩否則大家都會好失望. 我們很早起來準備早上 7:50 分出門口 8:00 到球場. 我們平常返工或返學都沒有那麼早出門口

We got there at 8am as planned and a few of his buddies were already there. It was freezing so most of them still had their jackets on for some practice and warmup. A few more turned up and eventually everyone was getting ready. The kids were getting warm but the parents standing on the side lines have started to turn into ice blocks. Daddy E to Baby M to get a baby chino and a coffee while everyone was getting ready.

8:00 去到球場我們已經看見其他 Baby E 的隊友. 因為天氣非常凍所以大部份小朋友都會繼續穿上外套到熱身之後會暖一些. 漸漸大部份隊友都已經到齊大家都為這場比賽做好準備. 小朋友熱完身後就開始暖但在在場看的家長都變成了 ‘雪條’而我老公就去買了一杯咖啡給自己和一杯熱奶給細仔

Things were going well with the first goal scored by our team but the other group had 2 really good players which got them to win the game. We were still so proud of the kids as it was their first official match ever so this was a great experience for them. They were still not familiar with the rules and was more happy to be running around than the actual competition. All the parents were really proud and we ended up hitting the shops to get Baby E his first pair of soccer shoes so we can get a better grip on the field. We also ended up getting him some shin pads so he won’t be afraid someone will kick him by accident so hopefully this will give him better confidence on the field.

比賽開始！第一球就我們隊人踢入，大家都非常開心但對家這一隊有兩個小朋友打得非常之好而漸漸追上而最後入兩球贏了這場比賽. 其實大家都為自己子女打氣而且是第一次比賽大家的表現已經非常之好. 我們之後就去了運動店買了一對足球鞋給 Baby E 希望落場的時候他會覺得舒服一點. 我們還買了一對護膝讓他在球場上會有更多信心不用害怕被其他人踢到.
