We are known world wide for our hustling spirit, we do not give up nor do we get tired, the economy is hard but we never let it get to us, we make ways where there is no way and we are proud of our hustle!
I will always say this, there is hardship in the land but some of us already find a way to escape it and about the leaders? greediness has taken control of them, no conscience whatsoever and that is why the country nigeria will never be developed!
Politics is something i will never be interested in because it has to do with betrayal, deceit and unfulfilled promises, these are the things you will do if you want to win and this is not my code of conduct, i will never take smile off someone's else face just for me to be happy!
People are leaving the country to seek greener pasture in another country, i really won't blame them, just like our leaders also go for shopping in other countries, they enjoy life in other countries but they all want to be buried in nigeria, they will always say no place like home to be buried, literally nigeria has become a burying ground for some people...
The hive naija initiative is nice but honestly i am among those who believe nigerians is going no where, even the election is not carried out in honesty, they always rig it and the person that will rule as already been known even before the election take place, they are only fooling the masses with their election...
I have never try to get my Pvc[ voters card] since i have been eligible to get one because i do not believe in the voting system of the country and if not that the Pvc was later needed for banking stuff, i might never have sign up for one but nothing changes, i will never vote any candidate! it really doesn't matter and we are just wasting time doing that...
I am not inspired to vote any candidate because the result will still be the same, we are only voting a puppet, those ruling are there and they don't need any election to rule, election is pointless so am not participating! i have better things to do with my time...

Burl it's good to be unpologitic about your home country. Nationalism is not a crime, nor a shame. I believe joining and supporting the criminal world cabal, declairing one's self a "world citizen" is an evil act.
Many people in many nations are struggling with this, patriotism towards their own country, while recognizing just how CORRUPT the leadership and the election system to determine leadership has become. I've heard many who refuse to vote, saying it's fake and rigged (they're right), but one thing we learned in the US in 2016, the rigged system can be overwhelmed. It takes extraordinary circumstances (like a pandemic maybe?) to successfully cheat, and even then it's obvious.
I suppose my point is, pulling the voting CORD in a RIGGED election makes the cheat machine have to work THAT much harder, making it that much more obvious.

Politicians are the same everywhere. I hope we have a better tomorrow. Stay strong and maybe one day you will be able to transform Nigeria into a better place along with all the others in the country. The young should not give up soon.

I do not agree with this actually.
Politics on it's own isn't all this you said...the fact that Nigerians has painted a black picture on politics does not make it bad.
Then come to think of it, the change you desire to see one day will only come by getting involved..if you don't get involved in anyway you can emg exercising your franchise and the rest, nothing will ever get better.
It's always your choice to make at the last
so you think it will ever get better for nigeria? i doubt it, i am never getting involved, the good ones trying to make a change were all killed, why would i want to do such?
Then what do you want to do
Sit and cross hands and await when the negatives affects you directly?
those who try to do it in the past, it didn't end well for them... i will rather stay neutral than be the sacrificial lamb

@burlarj, I am Unapologetically a Nigerian too. I am certainly not proud the way the country is being managed, but I remian hopeful and will likely vote this time around, to see if I can make a positive change. Shout out to all Nigerians on the Hive platform.

I am actually quite grateful that my country embrace multi-culture/races/religions, as it is part of its backbone. The government is very strict on punishing people who attempt to bring across different races or religions. So as a result, when I grow up, I have no idea how bad discrimination can get. I still remember when I heard such news on the internet, I wasnt aware of how bad things can be.
