Childhood memory: An Unforgettable Memory

Being the eldest and the only girl in my family, I can't deny the fact that I enjoyed my childhood and as rightly said, "I honestly wish I could go back then and just redo that innocence."

Fortunately enough for me, I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria in the barracks for that matter and my click of friends were boys of my age notwithstanding, boys that were protective of me being the only girl in the midst and would do anything for me as long as it makes me happy.

Funny enough, they taught me how to play a lot of play including those rough plays that were meant for boys even my parent was always sad that I couldn't just play the normal girls play and couldn't mix with girls of my age.

Can remember from the time when speedy, fishy, pepper snacks and coconut biscuits used to be my favorite and I would buy them, and instead of eating all, we will sit down to select the ones that are joined together and call them twins. After selecting, we ate them slowly like we won't want to hurt them

Most of our play used to end up with me going back hope with injury on my hand or legs and till today, I still have those scars that I got from my childhood play.

Saturdays were always fun for me because I will play and wish the day never comes to an end. I remember how we go round the barracks in only pants and riding tire. 🤣🤣🤣

Can't forget how we always acted a drama called mummy and daddy and I always was the mother with so many kids. 🤣🤣🤣

We were always playing a game called Tiko Tiko but learned this from school since I had no female friend.

One of the games that always left injury in my hand was the game of stone. Yeah, you heard me well. We would pick two stones of the same size but one would be harder than the other and begin to break them into our back palms and then scratch it. It would bring a lot of blood and then marks but we always did it for the fun.

Yeah, I remember when we decided to do a competition about who could watch better and we decided to use our mother's pot. Then we always used stoves and charcoal in cooking and the back of our pots was always black.

That morning we all brought our mother's dirty pot and began to wash while our mothers became the audience, inspectors, and judges to see whose pot was cleaner. Trust me, as the only girl in the group, I beat them to it. I won and their mothers laughed at how they allowed a girl to beat them.

Wow, when it was rainy, we never stayed indoor, we played ball under the rain and pushed everyone till we all are soaked with water.

The ground never had peace because we can't go a day without playing SUWE

Lols, who remembers BOJU BOJU OOO because I do very well. It was one of my best games because I would always win.

I remember always having to eat my food fist before eating my meat just to make others beg me for my meat and I ask them for something they've refused to give me in return for my meat.🤣🤣🤣

It is funny how I most times see my scars and laugh at our free and innocent I was. My injury never stopped me from playing the next day and most times even worst than the previous day.

I could go on and on about my childhood memory but because of time, I would love to stop here.

I never knew how much I missed those childhood days until now.

Thanks to @Hive-Naija, @stateofthedapps, @theycallmedan, and @hiveangellists for this opportunity given.
