Nigeria; A Federal State That's Due To Be Evoked With "A State Of Emergency" Status?

The protest for the #endsars campaign is still ongoing in Nigeria despite the federal government dissolving the federal special anti-robbery squad a special unit in the arm of the police in Nigeria. There has been massive support against police brutality even from all over the world and Nigerian citizens are beginning to get support from even celebrities, personnel and personalities all around the world and even with this depth of uproar the Nigerian federal government is still maintaining their scheme and ruse of dissolving SARS, even when it's clear they are only going to disband SARS on the surface and add them to some other corrupt task force. Nigeria as a federal institute is hardly democratic and her laws are only written on paper for the fancy without due process on how to carry out the laws.

It's however time confederal bodies like the UN step into the problematic situation in Nigeria because there has been a massive protest all over the country and this protest have led to the killings of a whole lot of citizens. I however feel that the people are fighting the wrong thing and thereby channeling their power and ability to the wrong protest. When there is a solid and a fully functional government that works for the people then there won't be police brutality, corrupt task force and indecent infringement of the human rights of people. You see people being dragged in the street into vans and innocent citizens being sprayed tear gases, unarmed citizens being beaten and total bloodshed especially in the state of Lagos where police brutality is in its highest.

it is of course very fair to say that Nigeria is experiencing one of the worst leadership it has had in 60 years. The presidency despite being the commander in chief of the armed forces and of course the head of state has never shown any form of power. during his campaign he promised to be a ruler of everyone and this means standing for the people who voted him in and even standing for the minority who didn't but then at this stage I would actually say that there has been no reforms or change in government, no implemented polices, no bill or laws have been passed to protect the rights and liberties not the Nigerian citizens, the public sector is currently in shambles and the only thing is that's happening is lies, embezzlement of fund and destruction of evidence to cover the dirt and rot in our democratic system.

The problems in Nigeria are deeply rooted and police brutality is just a branch of one of these problems. a change in government will never bring any sort of difference because Nigerian rulers or contestants for public offices are just a bunch of oligarchs coming back to take a chunk at power and no visible change, no new leaders are emerging. Godfatherism and cabalism reeks in the political sector. No young person has ever emerged president in Nigeria for a long time. The solution for the problems of Nigeria will start from constitutional reforms and the judicial and electoral system needs to be purged and of course cleansed and new personally put in place. Nigeria is a democratic setting on the surface but truly the core of our federal system is oligarch and totalitarianist in nature and there's no way change can be implemented and here's why.

The only way through which they can be change is if Nigeria can be invoked with a state of emergency and a superior government is implemented, this might go against the sovereignty of an independent state. But then if the government of a state is non-functional I think somewhere a higher authority can implement a state of emergency and dissolved the non-functional government for your other fast paced change to help the citizens of the country. we can't never rely on our electoral bodies to implement the change we want and this is because there are personalities that controls the electoral bodies in Nigeria and it seems as if there is a check and balance of corruption and people in power seems corrupt and keeping each other secrets and hence anyone in power stays there to serve the aims and goals or the people they're supposed to be working with. It's a mad country and its fully time for the UN or the British to step in and force a change. Truth is, the government itself needs to end. #endsars #endswat. Reform the economic settings.

It's horrible to hear all this going on but I think it was always something Nigerians tended to brush under the table but now as things with lock down and covid has exposed it to the public and now they realise how bad it actually has been all this time. I do hope they can action positive change, but without war naturally, I think that's the last thing we all need right now, but it tends to be where we go to when things get tough we don't want to work together we want to fight each other, sigh

Fight back, buy buying Bitcoin, that's all I can think of, I did see paystack get investment from stripe and it just shows Nigerians are doing good stuff under the circumstances, if the government just stopped being shit and let the citizens do what they want the country would be a power house

I mean how many talented and smart nigerians have left to go make other countries better? Same with SOuth Africans, sigh

We have smart Nigerians everywhere all over the world busy developing and raising the GDP of other countries but it's the same old pathetic story when it comes to the country. the marginalization and brutality in the police force has brought out this issue and people has been silent for a long time I guess they no longer want to be silent again I'm thinking after 30 days the united nation will get involved and probably something serious will be done from external forces

There might be war we don't even know yet and this is because the government have started a propaganda to silence the people.

Oh! Beware with what you wish for, buddy. Because it just might become into an undesirable reality. };)
