Akwa Ibom State@33|New Flag, State Logo And Anthem lunched

Yesterday was a day to be remembered in our great state Akwa Ibom, as we marked 33 years after creation In 1987.
Look back the history, we were under and in Cross river state but we were separated and gained our own Independence in 23 September 1987.
After the creation of the state, we were regarded as one of the inferior states and the people of Akwa Ibom State were a times engaged in slavery and house helps.
But since 1999, when Arc. Victor Attah came into power as the governor of Akwa Ibom State we gain some directions to which and were our state will be heading to in the nearest future.

Due to his nature of life whom he married to a white woman, he brought to existence the Ibom Plaza, before
he handed over to the next Governor,he started the Ibom power plan and Ibom Airport.

In 2007,Akwa Ibom State took another shade and more lime light entered when the people voted and elect Dr. God'swill Akpabio. Akpabio came in and brought us the philosophy of AKWA IBOM ADO OKAY to tell you the truth, it was not just political words, but oversee to his promises, he brought us good roads network, complete the international Airport, built us two good flyovers, and the highlight of his administration was when the staged and completed the International Stadium whom today is the number one stadium where Nigeria super eagle plays their Nation and world cup Qualifying matches.
In 2015, Gov. Udom Emmanuel came in as Governor with his own philosophy of AKWA IBOM Dakkada meaning Akwa Ibomite rise.
He continues where the past leaders had stopped to get us to the promise Land as of our State Slogan. Today we are celebrating Akwa Ibom Independence with industries like: Akees for pencil and tooth pick company production, metre and syringe company, rice production company, reassemble car company and he has bought us five(5) Aeroplane of our own state the first state in Nigeria to own aircraft of its own.

To mark this year's state Anniversary, state official logo, flag and Anthem were lunched yesterday, the occasion due to the current world pandemic was not opened for all, it was strictly on invitation.

We have a new direction to what we should expect in the future.
