Life sometimes teaches us hard way
Choomki got major second-degree burns that the doctor did not see in last 32 years of his career
I did an exclusive post on her sometimes back, saying she will always shine. It's almost a year and she is now fearlessly walking over all the places at my native home. She is a little over one year, but her activities are no less than a big kid (necessity teaches us the best). Whenever she comes out, she speaks to my parents - in her loving words which one can barely understand. But we all love that, isn't it ? Her father is a skilled worker and gets up early to get ready, by which her mother prepares the lunch for him to carry. There is no one else to help, so you can imagine the difficulty for her mother. She has to do all the cutting, cooking, while keeping a close eye on her. That day I was there at my native home and went to market to bring fish. While my order was getting ready, got a call from my mother that Choomki got major burns all over his body and asked what to do. My first reaction was to apply Silverex Ionic Gel immediately if available, saying I am coming as soon as possible. If silverex is not available, then apply tooth paste. Another good natural remedy is to apply soil and salt, but that takes time to prepare, unless you have soil ready somewhere. And then take her to hospital. Unfortunately Choomki's mother did a big mistake - she took her and immediately put water, and her skin was exposed. By the time my mother took the silverex , blisters were coming out but she applied it on top of it. And then rushed her to hospital immediately, they were all in home dresses, but getting her to hospital was the immediate need.
The govt hospital emergency room could not decide what to do, so they called in a Consultant. And the Consultant was horrified to see the level of injury , so they did a light dressing, directing to shift her to AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science), which is 20 miles away, as AIIMS has got a special burn cell. Choomki was relentlessly crying all these time and upon arriving at AIIMS, she was rushed to the burn cell. The doctor did the treatment and then applied a full dressing, like wrapping her entire body. When he came out of the room, his expression was like, he never saw such a burn injury to a very small kid in his entire career. Only once he saw a similar injure, but the kid was able to express. He prescribed antibiotics and pain killers and said it would take more than a month to heal. Applying the silverex did help a lot. For almost two weeks, Choomki was given all the care and my mother was with her most of the time, when her mother was busy. After two weeks, the dressing was opened and then the doctor advised to leave it open and apply medicine. And Choomki did recover fast, with only marks on her body. To get rid of the marks, we have advised to do some local remedies like applying home made butter, tender coconut water.
Now coming to the accident, her mother had put a cup of tea on a shelf ,that she believed Choomki cannot reach. Her father had gone for bathe, and Choomki did try to put her hand on that shelf, which was way beyond her height, but she used her legs as well to try to climb. Unfortunately one of her finger hit the cup, and the hot tea fell on her. As her skins are quite soft, it did the damage. Thank God, it fell just below her face, otherwise, it could have been devastating. Her mother has kept a promise to not drink tea again till she is fully grown up. Life sometimes teaches us the hard way - hopefully all the marks would go away soon.

When something bad is destined to come, it comes any way.
I am extremely sorry to hear about the kid's injury. Pain by burning is one of the worst kind of pain.
May God save us all
True, its a lesson learned, that her mother will never forget.
Lesson learnt in an unfortunate way
Well I am glad they got Choomki to hospital so fast. Kids are resilient though and I can imagine her chatting and playing now as if nothing ever happened!
Kids recover fast as well - she is back to normalcy now, and everyone is happy.

So sorry to hear about the injury but am happy is feeling ok.
Yes, she is back to business, hopefully all the marks should go away at this growing age.
She's a strong kid and I wish her all the very best.
Yes, definitely she is stronger than a kid grown up with all the comfort.
That's was a terrible accident. The kids who can't speak, it really becomes very hard to understand what they are feeling and how to help them.
It was terrible to see those blisters and then the pain she suffered. Thankfully she has recovered fully with only marks now.
I can relate to this because the same pain happens when you get blisters in chicken pox. I got it in my teenage and I couldn't sleep well as they were all over my body.
All children see the world in their own way. Their world is very beautiful. But I think he should make time for his mother even between her work.
Not everyone has that flexibility, but they are much more cautious now.

very true sometimes life teaches us the hard way. When you have a child you have to be 100% attentive to their movements since they are restless by nature. But fortunately it did not get any worse and there will be no sequelae
God help her, it could have been more damaging.
yes it could be more dangerous but let's hope everything goes well for her
Children are the rising starts of parents and if they got hurt is some way and the reason are parents, Parents start considering it is their fault and they try to not do those mistakes again so that their kids don't get hurt. That's what Choomki Mother is trying to do so that by making her not drink Tea until she become younger. Get Well Soon choomki.
A lifetime lesson and memory for all of us.
Yes, Events like this happened to give us a lesson. We just need to understand them.
You are right it was an accident but we should learn from such an accident. Because this girl does not know what harm is going to happen to her. I believe that the tea spilled on the child and the mother and father must have felt pain.
They do always.
ladki ka name bhi boht hi sundar he Choomki
Such small children should not be left for more than a minute. Be with them 24/7 and constantly monitor. They are very curious and mobile :) Thank God everything worked out
The hard way life teaches us at times always profit us. Just that it looks so hard on us
Wow heartbreaking accident made even worse with the suffering of one so young!
Amazing the resilience of youth and we should take lessons from that constantly.
Here’s to a fantastic life of love and energy despite trials and accidents.
Feel bad for Choomki, this little baby must be suffering a lot. I wish him well

Sometimes when these accidents happen it is difficult to have a calm mind for the best option. Thank you and despite everything it was just a scare, but with children you have to be alert 24 hours a day
I remember that post you wrote about the girl last year. Such a little sweetheart. I´m so sorry to hear what happened to her, it must have been incredibly painful and at such a young age, she couldn´t even understand what was going on :( Hopefully she will fully recover...
so true, it was so painful for her, she has recovered now, except the marks. Hopefully with all the traditional treatments, they will go away.
😊🌷🌈🤙 what a cutie! yes, it's so scary.. as a parent.. always fearing what can happen to a child..
but, life is good and it goes on..
and we can all drink our tea! :P
I feel very sorry for her. She's still very young. I hope that she'll feel better soon, or the marks will be removed too.
She is much better now, except the marks. Hopefully with time they will go away.
So sad. I remember when my mother got the hot water fell in her legs. She bought ointment. It took weeks to recover.
Whenever I fry fish or meat, I got oil sprinkling on me. I apply Aloe Vera which is helping.
Did not know about Aloe Vera, good to know now, is it raw Aloe Vera or gel ?
The gel inside of the Aloe Vera. Just apply it to the burns.
Parents do everything for their children even if they have to give their life for their child, they willingly give it. But when the children have any disease or anything that has no cure, the parents cry every day seeing their child and are very worried and live in trouble. Children don't know if it's hot or cold it can cause damage so it's very sad to see. Even if a big person hand burn, it also hurts a lot. Doctors also say that when it's hot, you shouldn't put water on it, it makes the skin worse. We pray for a speedy recovery for this child.
That's the exact mistake her mother did.
Hopefully, she will make a full recovery soon.
Burn injuries are so painful and difficult to heal. It's good that her little face was not affected.
We are very thankful to God for that.
I hope this Angel, this beautiful baby girl have a full and fast recovery! Choomki will be in daily part of prayers!
Yes,she has recovered now, it will take time for the marks to go away. Kids recover fast, initial days were fearful.
It's a lesson learned but I feel bad with the child. She's so young. I pray she'll feel good.
Ya, we all felt so bad till she recovered. Now she has recovered except the marks.
Oh! I can imagine the pains the poor child is going through now I wish she recovers quickly. Life is a lession.
