Hello everyone and welcome to my Feathered Friends post today

I'm back this week after a small hiatus due to internet issues. If you think it's a pain to get the cable company to come over to fix your internet, try it during a lock down =(
Today I'm over at a friends house frogging off his internet so I can bring you today's post.

I was out on the deck today doing some gardening that's been delayed but the garden store has opened back up now so....
I had my camera out as well and I was practicing with the long lens when my little White Crowned Sparrow friend dropped by for a snack.
IMG_2400.jpg

He's singing away at me, more than likely telling me to go away as I'm standing right by the seeds he is after lol
IMG_2402.jpg

I have my camera set to beep when it acquires focus and I notice the Sparrow is responding to the beeps lol, chirping back at each beep.
IMG_2397.jpg

After a couple of minutes of beeping and chirping it looked like he was ready to take off and I was hoping to get a shot of it launching so I began shooting a burst of images.
IMG_2398.jpg

I didn't get the fly off the last image was just the tree branch.
I'm looking around for another shot when I hear the Sparrow chirping at me again.

I look down and it's on the deck rail a few feet away. Had to back up a couple steps as it was too close for for the lens.
IMG_2403.jpg

I took several burst shots as we did the beep, chirp thing again

After a few minutes and about 2 doz images I went over and sat down so our Sparrow here could get it's reward.

By the time I moved over and sat down he was already munching away on seeds.
IMG_2417.jpg

I see this little Sparrow several times a day, every day weather and cat allowing O.o

Mmmmmm Seeds.....

Haha I almost forgot to put this in...
As I was siting there imaging the Sparrow I looked behind me O.o
Kitty was bird watching too.... meow

White-crowned Sparrow! Thanks for posting to #featheredfriends Community. !tip
I have been missing you and am sorry you are having internet issues. I've been keeping my fingers crossed that nothing breaks and needs repair during this time of lockdown.

Thanks @melinda010100 and thanks for the ID as well( edited in). I did a Google search on it a long time ago and it came back as a house sparrow and it seems to have stuck lol even though I've ID it as a white crowned sparrow in previous posts.
Thanks for stopping in @melinda010100 always a pleasure.

Good to see you posting! You really nailed the focus on that bird. Very shallow depth of focus! Sweet lens.

Thanks @old-guy-photos it's good to be posting again. Good thing my buddy is into online gaming and has a fast internet connection =)
Yeah I used the Sigma 150-600 mm set at 600 mm ( 940 mm on my crop sensor)
and this little guy is right at minimum focus distance(2.8 meters) for the lens and my depth of field at that distance is like 3 or 4 inches.
Really loving the lens though, just used the it's USB dock to update the firmware, set up the custom setting switches x2 and adjust the focus speed, oh and I didn't have to sell my car to afford it new...
