We had a pleasant walk around our local ponds where there's a lot of little bird families on the ponds at the moment, starting with the Canada Geese goslings.
There's also some mallard ducklings. The ducklings are soon moving around and feeding only a few hours after they are born.
The yellow iris flower is quite common around the ponds with its tall stems.
I love this time of year. It's a vulnerable time though for the chicks. Not all of them will make it but so far so good!
