Let the woman work!
In my hometown we have this little park with very old trees, two little ponds and some old ruins. A nice, quiet place away from the street and noise and close to the woods, so there ale always birds flying there and back. Many different types also nest there which made me wanna get my camera one day and go look for them.
I saw many and heard even more, but with the trees been already filled with leaves it wasn't and easy task to catch them.
I shot some frogs and started to walk back home. Then I saw this little Blackbird female running around looking for bugs. Those birds are so common in that area and so used to people, that they almost behave like pigeons. I could get pretty close and watch her do her thing. She would always keep safe distance, but wasn't particularly scared.
She was looking for all kinds of bugs or snails in the grasses. As I stopped walking and just watched, I noticed there was a few more around.
I remember a pair of those had a nest at our neighbors tree and they very often were looking for food in our garden. Cute birds, though not very showy. They do catch up with the singing at 4 am though :)
In winter they stayed around as we kept putting apples or pears near the bird feeder. They had to share them with starlings (the pests), and fieldfares, but they were showing up every winter as well.
And then...
I noticed the male watching everything from the tree up.
They are prettier than the females. The fully back feather shine in the sun almost to navy blue. Plus the bright orange beaks that makes then very recognizable.
And then he gave me that look saying: "Leave my woman alone!"
So I packed my camera and kept on walking...
I also saw this one, which could be Eurasian jay, though it seemed smaller. This one was very shy and even though I was way below the branches he was sitting on, he kept flying away and hiding. Cute belly though :)

Hahahaha! You were getting on the blackbird's nerves for sure! 😄 😄 😄
Ya think? :D
I saw they were looking at me weird....
Hahaha! Cute belly indeed! That's what many of my bird photos look like this time of year. Great shots of the blackbird pair! Thanks for posting to the #featheredfriends community!

Great shots! This bird has the perfect camo in the middle of this earth.
Thanks! On the ground or among dry leaves the females are almost invisible :)
You have got the cacti finally in the last post :-)
