Common buzzard vs Hooded crow
Hello feathered friends.
Today I'll share with you a few photos and a gif of a fight between a common buzzard and hooded crow.
The conflict between these two birds began due to the observation position on the transmission line pole. From that pole, the surrounding was initially observed by a hooded crow. The buzzard rushed at her and forced her to flee.
For a moment it seemed that the buzzard would easily chase away the crow, but the crow still proved to be worthy of the opponent, retaliating several times.
You can watch their air duel in the following gif.
In the end, however, the buzzard won the observation post and proudly ascended to his new throne.
But the crow, as a member of one of the most intelligent species of birds, remembered this violent move very well. And just ten minutes after the buzzard relocate because of my presence, she set out for revenge. Suddenly she plunged on the buzzard, pecked at it, and flew away.
The buzzard remained on the ground and watched in confusion as the crow left.

You captured all the drama! Don't you wonder if this was a first-time encounter between those two or if it is an ongoing neighborhood battle. Congrats on being featured on Solo's curation post!
Thanks!
Duels like this are a common occurrence in nature, and they are completely normal because both species of birds are territorial. Mostly, the duel is reduced to air stunts and showing muscles because both birds do not want to risk injury. I watched different duels. Rook vs kestrel, gull vs red-footed falcon, crow vs buzzard, crow vs kestrel ...
Great observations! There is so much happening in nature, if we just pay attention.
Exactly!
This is fantastic observation.
In our neighbourhood the seagulls are chasing the buzzards and hawks. Very hard to make a good photo of them, but still trying.
Thanks!
I've seen a seagull and a red-footed falcon having an air duel.
