A hot 32C day!

Today I will show you what doves do in the heat and a game of hide and seek with a Locust!

Like I said, it's a nice and hot day here in South Africa.
So after our two meetings for the day were done, there was enough time for me to spend some time outside in the garden.
Come and see what I got!

This guy smiled when he saw me and he is a friendly "Milkweed Locust" (Phymateus morbillosus).

A pair of "Cape Turtle-doves" (Streptopelia capicola) venting in the sun!

Here you can see that the locust sat in thought about how to trick me!

A little weaver decided to chat with another pair of venting doves!

Meantime, the locust jumped into another bush and was peeping to see if I found him!

Ever seen a dove with 2 heads and 2 tails? 🤣

Back to the locust story, he decided to flip out of his hiding place here.

Game over, as he decided that I was too clever and poor guy didn't know that his colors made it easy to spot him.

Just a bit of silly Friday fun here, to hopefully get some smiles. It's been a long and a hard week for us in our search for an accredited coding course for poor students that is not going to cost a fortune. The meeting with a supplier today didn't end so well, as the fees are very steep. So I will just continue searching.

Via one of our partner non profits, we are connected to 21 poorer schools and if I can find the correct coding course for grades R to 12 then we will help more than 500 children with new IT skills. We have the hardware and the class rooms and I want to do a pilot first with two teachers and 16 students.
But at first we have to find an affordable and accredited coding course for kids. Not easy methinks!

Some unusual venting here, but such is life and they say that a problem shared is a problem halved!

And That's All Friends!

Note: All photos are my own and taken with a Canon Powershot SX60HS camera!

We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity

It must be hot with the dove splaying out cooling themselves - made for some interesting pictures!

That locust is beautiful with it's bright red coloring - nice shots!

And today it is cold my friend. The wind coming off the Atlantic ocean is cold and I am enjoying the weather, as that African heat is a killer.
Hahaha, that locust is a very fashion conscious guy with his red suit.
Blessings and thanks!
