A seabird bonanza here for all today!

511.JPG

If one of these photos cannot please you, then you don't love the sea!

Is that right? I have heard some say that they don't like seabirds and this is like saying that you like a can of olives, but not the contents.
Okay, now many don't like olives right, so maybe it is like saying that you like the sky, but not the sun, or the moon.

I love everything of the ocean and here today I am showing you some of my loves!
Come and have a look!

488.JPG

Here's another guy that has scored something to eat, but the competition is fierce over here!

414.JPG

So they gang up on him as he landed with his meal and he was telling them to bug off!

413.JPG

So busy scaring the crowd that the brown bird sneaked in to steal his meal!

512.JPG

Now here' a classy fellow (also 1st picture) and the crowd seemed to stay away from him!

513.JPG

Slipping sideways to avoid an incoming wave!

306.JPG

Yep, you don't want to be tumbled, lunch and all if something like this wave connects with you!

485.JPG

I took this and the next photo of a Kelp gull in flight.

541.JPG

515.JPG

An ocean scene here for you and the beach curves all the way round past the mountains in the distance!

300.JPG

Another shot here of the wave above as it was closing down!

444.JPG

Finally a farewell shot of the beach for you as we left to go back home!

And there you have it, my heart for the sea laid bare her in the post. Sniff and you smell the saty good air, look at the wave breaking and you can hear it's lovely smashing sound. Let your eyes wander over the photos and take a journey with it in your imagination with the cries of seagulls in your ears.
This is life and the ocean tells us about freedom and how to appreciate it!

And That's All Folks!

Note: all photos are my own and you arec free to use them as long as my name "Zac Smith", or "@papilloncharity" is cited.
I would also appreciate it if you notify me that you are using some of the photos!

Thank you for the visit cuzzy @jerrytsuseer
Glad that I could take you for a refresher to the beach.
2005 is a long time ago and I hope that you will get to the beach at sometime in your future.
Blessings!

Hi Cuzzy, I would like that, but I don't see it happening any time soon. I think the nearest ocean front is at least 300 miles away, and beaches in general are not quite opened yet, I think.
Blessings to you Stephen

That is only halfway of a trip that I used to make for a weekend at the sea with my kids when they were small cuzzy @jerrytsuseer.
I really hope you will make a plan once the covid thing is over, as the sea is a wonderful healing place to be.

Take it easy my friend and hope that you have a good weekend!

Cool and you will be welcome.
Budget for 3 hotel stays and travel as there is about 45 kilometers between us and @jaynie and about 2255 kilometers along the coast between us and @joanstewart

Sounds like this is something I could swing and afford, though not knowing a thing
About prices etc over there. At least it is a goal with a definitive result.
Thanks Stephen.
Damn! 2255 km = 1401.192 miles. That's a LONG WAY, I didn't realize SA was such a big place.

I love these photos about the seabirds while they was eating! I've never seen the ocean in real (here in Italy we have beautiful sea, but not an ocean) and everytime I think about it, I think about the power of the nature and about the freedom . Great.

Thank you for the kind visit Lady @silviabenaforti

Are you on the Adriatic sea side of Italy?
In what town are you in Italy?

Here in South Arica which is at the Southern tip of the African continent we have the Indian ocean at the one side and the Atlantic ocean at the other side.

We live near the place where the two oceans meet.

Glad that I could give you some great thoughts in the post my dear friend.

Blessings and hope that you will have a good weekend!

wow, you can take it close-up. At our place, seabirds cannot be approached, they immediately fly within 20 meters, I have to use a telephoto lens to take pictures.

Thank you.
This place has had many fishermen over the years and they clean the catches from the boats next to the beach.
So the birds have learned to come here and to collect the scraps.
Tourists and locals also buy take-away food from the many restaurants close by and and as they eat, the birds raid them for food hahaha.
So yeah, I can get very close to them.

Maybe you must make a feeding place for them, as they will soon get used to you, knowing that you bring them food?

Take care my friend!

Will have to take a drive down and sit in the car park, miss the sea and have not been down since guilt takes over not being able to take Woody along for a walk.

Gulls will be following Sardine run now, if close to the beach always makes for entertaining viewing.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend Stephen.

Somebody has jonered us Lady Joan, as cannot set a foot outside in the driving rain.
So glad that somebody else also feel guilty when they have to leave their loving companion at home.

I saw the sardine run a few times and it is always a spectacular event with people and birds going crazy all over the place.
Maybe you guys can sneak out to see it?
Blessings!
