Waiting for the sun.

105.JPG
The early mist endured for longer than usual and the little Southern Double-collared sun bird was getting impatient.

He will only sing when the sun shines, as I have never heard him singing in the dark days. But oh boy, the minute that the sun rays appear you can hear the tinkling sounds of his song.
Come and have a look at our morning.

The mist started to clear from the far south of the mountain range.
120.JPG

But at our end it was still cast over. This Hadeda Ibis was also waiting patiently on a roof pitch.
098.JPG

But he was not alone as you can see our Sally also here on a roof.
103.JPG

This couple made sure to reserve their seat as they wanted to watch a baseball game at a school.
468.JPG

And finally, the day had arrived and we could all carry on with life.
123.JPG

Such is life here, as the weather reigns and we are all subject to it. But regardless, as the farming machines are still pulled out there on the farms to work the lands. Just so our own work also continues as we have all adapted to whatever the weather decides to gift us with.
So, yeah it was just another ordinary, extra-ordinary day weather wise. At least my camera was happy.

And That's All Friends.

Note: All photos are my own and taken with a Canon Powershot #SX60HS Bridge camera.

We hope that you enjoyed the story and the pictures.

Wishing you a wonderful week and keep your camera happy as yourself.

Ha! Maybe they thought it was going to rain Lady Joan. Not a drop.
But yes, later on the party started and it was lovely to hear the music.

Tes, this camera is very demanding, but it is slowly falling apart.
The date and time doesn't work anymore. It often shoots blanks and the zoom carraige is sticky.
Often times the pictures are blurry and also upside down.
I have reset it to default countless times.

It is too expensive to repair, R4000 plus, so I will just use it until it dies.
I have the SX70, but rarely use it, as it doesn't have the same output as the SX60.

So yes, it's a battle every day.

Thank you for the wishes and they are reciprocated.

Btw. Did you hear that the Tax man is going to enforce every crypto trader or income like ours to be fully declared?

More birds enjoying the sun now after cooler weather passed through. Modern cameras definitely don't last as long as one would wish, using large equipment makes you a target so pocket size still safer when out.

Had a chat about Tax with @joetunex, looking at it logically, expense of computer, office space, data used, camera equipment, time in both learning and preparation should all come into calculation, price at time of purchase/sale not only straight profit. A lot of work, but these guys are quite happy to take pound of flesh no questions asked.

Oh yes, I had a close call with my camera on the beach boulevard by three young guys, but thankfully they thought better of it. The one put his hand in his pocket, but I was close to him and ready to drop him, so he took his hand out.

Tax is a problem and I will also have to get advice. Is @joetunex a tax fundi and is he in SA?
Maybe he won't mind if I have a chat with him?

I stay right in front of the park, and love capturing sunset moments but with the park being unsafe lately as we become targets of being mugged I stopped going for that sunset walk and capturing the moment.

Nice shots @papilloncharity 👌

Am not a taxi fundi 😃 just SARS getting hungry for crypto taxation and I thought I'd share a post about it.

If I'm not mistaken I think I have bumped into you either on Steem or here on HIVE.

Cheers.

Set a trap for the muggers my friend and catch them in the act. A friend of mine dressed himself as an old lady, put a wig on and he walked into a park. His friends were waiting hidden behind some bushes.
Two guys with knives approached my friend and he pulled a gun out of his bag.
His friends rushed in and they arrested the two muggers and handed them to the cops when they arrived. End of story, no more muggings in the park.

Yes, I also get the feeling that we have met before somewhere, but we chat to so many that one just cannot keep track.
Thank you in any case.

Wow this crazy country throwing everything at the fan.... Theft is rife one cannot move, actually hardly breathe anymore!

Going to give a link to where you will see most probably most reliable information, not media hype @papilloncharity @joetunex also take into consideration tables.

Tax Consultant: Tax Tim

Don't think our earnings are anywhere near this....
"If you are found to be a short-term investor or trader in cryptocurrencies, you will pay tax at your personal income tax rate (which can be upwards of 40% if you earn more than R782,200 a year). For longer-term investors, capital gains tax (18% for individuals) is payable." Businessinsider

Thanks for the link it requires a read, looks qiite detailed I glanced through. Good we educate ourselves on how to deal with tax laws wisely.

Talk about crime in this country one have to be vigilant at all times and not be caught off guard, the tugs out there don't mind killing for a phone which they will go sell for R100 to buy yanope or whatever they smoke.

I don't think that they will touch us Lady Joan.
Papillon's income is marked as donations and The Papillon Foundation is registered by SARS as a PBO, (Tax Exempted) for donations.

Thank you for the link and I will have a look.

That sunbird is so beautiful!
Cool to have the birds perching on the roof tops - makes for some interesting shots!

Oh yeah he is a beauty and he is the smallest of our sunbirds. Also noted as the best singer.
Yes, I am a bit tired of seeing birds in natural settings on Hive, so am trying something different.

Just lucky to end up here in this area my friend.
It is all of the food in nature and on the farms that draw the animals and the birds.

Also got my first shots of the winter season Cape Sugarbirds which I will post a bit later today.

The sun birds are back!! They arrived here last week as well. So pretty. Can't wait for the aloes to bloom so I can snap some shots. I did get a couple of the Cape robin, but I was wearing my littlest one so they aren't the best photos.

Greetings milady and you are so right, as I also got my first Sugarbird yesterday morning.
Difficult to take photos with your littlest one and hope that you will get great shots when the aloes are in bloom.

For some reason I cannot upload pictures now as there seems to be a problem with some server, but I will send you one when the problem is sorted out.

Cheers and !BEER
