Yay, some early morning sun.

The birds have not seen the sun for many days.
093.jpg
Delightful to see our little guy taking off here this morning in the sunlight.

One can hear that there is a laugh in their songs, as we had weeks of wet stormy weather. We were worried about the little Southern Double-collared sunbirds, as they are nesting and at some stage during the storms we even had some hail. But thankfully, they built their nest well and I could hear the first peeps of the babies in the nest today.

Beautiful, isn't he? The Southern Double-collared Sunbirds are our smallest sunbirds, but they also have the sweetest song of all the sunbirds.

Now have a look at our guy's lady preening herself here above the nest.
078.jpg

She is a real dainty beauty, and looked so great here on this red Bourgainvillea.

As you can see, there is still a bit of wind around but it is nothing to write home about.
124.jpg

Finally, just a show of our mountains a bit earlier this morning to please your eyes.
003.jpg

As I said, we had some torrid weather recently, and yet these tiny birds have survived with their nest intact. I am now waiting for the predator birds to start appearing and we are keeping an eye on the skies.
Saw one briefly this morning, but I was driving and he was going too fast, but it looked like a Sparrow Hawk.
And so, the fun and the adventures continue.

And That's All Friends!

Oh yes, he's beautiful, but somehow I like the photos of his little wife even more this time. She looks so sweet when she's cleaning herself or when she looks at you from the red Bourgainvillea in the second photo :)

Now do you know that I was planning to make her cleaning the first photo Hannes?
But then I thought that the people would like more color and I put the male first.
Stupid, as I should have stuck to my original plan.

I agree fully with you that she outshines the male here.
But then again, it is very difficult to get the male flying as he is lightning fast and I can only thank my dragonfly training.

Thank you my friend 😊

The male as first photo was a good choice because the colour of this beautiful bird attracts the people 😊
Ah yes, you've had the dragonfly training, the training I still haven't had yet 😎

Thank you Hannes, I had the same thought.
I trained myself for a year on the dragonflies and you can do that in 6 months I am sure.
It really helps, not only for the bigger things, but also for one's reflexes. Oh and patience 🤣

Cheers and thanks.

If I only had the time to do that, Zac, but even if I have enough time and I'm in the right mood, Lady Patience is somewhere on holidays 😁

No need to worry my friend, as in a few years later, you will have all of the time that you need 😊
Lady Patience knows that and she has already booked you for a visit in the future 🤣

Cheers and thanks.

Consider this! The busier you get, the quicker the time goes.
The slower you go, the time will match your speed.
Strange but true 🤣

Cheers and thanks.

Can you clarify what this mean?
Is your name Zac Smith? Are you the author of these photos?

I do not understand your question ?
Did you look at any of my other posts? Have you seen in the comments that I am adressed as Zac?
Why would I put another person's name on my own posts?

Да уж, странный вопрос...
Неужели в Литве не знают, что такое "авторские права"? 😉

Thank you @bartolomee maybe I was wrong as I didn't like the word "clarify", but now I understand that the comment to me was translated.
So as you know I never mean to offend anyone.

Zac.

Aw, Zach, uh...
Of course I know you’re a good and kind man! ❤️
It’s a comment I desperately wrote to a guy in Lithuania, and also in Russian.
And I didn’t want to hurt anyone either...
If my translator (reverso.net) is sometimes wrong with the translation, forgive him ☺️

Did I say "sad"?
Um...
I don’t know how it happened...
When we look at these beautiful sunbirds, we should be happy! ❤️☀️🐦😺
