Three reals, one fake

I've visited my photos from Iceland a couple days ago, so while I don't go out with my camera for a decent birdwatching/photography trip, decided to share some of the cuties from that part of the world; and since I was in the mood... added kind of an artistic touch (I wrote kind of... I'm probably the least artistic person I can think of!).

So, can you recognize this one without his colours?

If you thought of a male tufted duck, Aythia fuligula... you're right! This one is perfect for a black and white photo, since b&w are his natural colours; thow it seems more of a demon duck here, with that bright eye!

The next one you can find everywhere! And it's a male too.

This male mallard Anas platyrhynchos was just chilling in the lake margin. Both these two photos and the next one were taken in a lake in central Reykjavik. So even in an urban setting, you can do some birding! Isn't that right, mr. goose, or should I say Anser anser?

(He said "It sure is!", just in case you're wandering!) 😉

These three were the real ones... the next one I can't make any sense of it. It was found in the middle of nowhere, overlooking the icelandic sea. Maybe it's some famous sculpture that I'm completely unaware of, given my lack of artistic knowledge! Can anyone recognize the fake one?

I would say it's some sort of penguin... any guesses? 😁

Stay safe everyone!

Wonderful photos in black and white. I think the sculpture maybe a great auk. The last known pair was in Iceland and they were killed by fisherman and became extinct. So it would make sense that they would have a sculpture of that bird there.

Thanks a lot!! You solved it, I checked and it is a great auk! And for what I've seen, it seems there are some more of these sculptures. That deserves a huge !BEER , always glad when I can learn something new! 🙂 👍 👍

Thanks for the !BEER Glad I could help with the sculpture. Such a sad story, it stuck in my head when I read about it.

Amazing photos in B&W. The bird sculpture looks strange to be all by itself. I think @melinda010100 may have the mystery solved.
