Show Me A Photo Round 15 - Kings Are Made Not Born
Namaste World
After reading so many entry posts and seeing so many amazing pics, I am mesmerized and my need of a DSLR is increasing so much. I always wanted to have a DSLR Camera but because of financial restraints I am still using my smartphone to shoot the moment.
I am happy that now a days smartphone cameras are better than earlier, I remember the days when mobiles used to have VGA camera and that time it was really fascinating that anyone can click photos with their mobile phones and keep that moment alive digitally.
I love nature and living in the laps of mother nature is my strongest desire, I got a chance to work in a mountain valley of Kullu Himachal Pradesh-India. That project was one of my favourite and most memorable projects of my life.
One day I went to visit a mountain called "Bijli Mahadev", There are some religious beliefs attached to that mountain.
Bijli means Thunder and Mahadev means Lord Shiva (The Supreme Consciousness)
There is one ancient temple with a Shiv Linga which is made up of butter and stone.
The mountain is situated in such a way that from top of the mountain you can see two valleys. On right side there is Kullu Valley and on left side there is Parvati Valley. In Kullu Valley Beas River flows and In Parvati Valley river Parvati flows.
On the end of Bijli Mahadev mountain both river get merge into a single river named as Beas River.
There is a local story regarding that mountain which says that thousands of year ago one giant Anaconda kind of demon sat between River Parvati and River Beas which results into a massive flood in the valley. Many people get killed and every creature i.e humans, birds, animals and insects were afraid and started praying for help. At that time Lord Shiva appeared in the form of Thunder and cut the head of that Giant demon anaconda which gave way to both rivers to merge and flow.
In every 11 years thunder strikes exactly on Shivlinga and breaks it into pieces and this is true and recorded incident. The most mind boggling part is that the priest of this temple knew it before through his dreams and he gather the butter from the villages on that mountain. When thunder breaks the Shivlinga then the priest collects every piece and join it with the help of butter. One more surprising fact is that butter never melts and that might be because of the cold temperature, I don't know but that fascinated me a lot.
According to scientists, Bijli Mahadev mountain contains some magnetic minerals due to which flying above this mountain is prohibited. Scientists often visit this place to do their research.
Every Saturdays I used to trek to Bijli Mahadev mountain because every time I visited I saw something New and something amazing.
One day in the morning when I was looking up in the sky grasping the beauty of mother nature, I found something very interesting.
I saw one eagle and many crows, at first I thought they are fighting. I kept on watching them and analysing their activities. Suddenly I found that they were not fighting, it was actually a training session for that eagle. Crows took some branches of tree and they were doing maneuver and training eagle to get that branch from them. I never imagined that Crow could be a teacher of eagle.
I thought eagles are king of sky and crows are just some normal birds who stays with human in their society.
I watched this game for hours and feeling mesmerized with knowing these facts, I wanted to click photos and I tried with my smartphone, This pic is not that amazing but the time when this moment was shot!
With this Pic I have a story to forward to my next generation and a lesson that what you know is just a drop in the ocean of knowledge, so never stop and keep exploring
It was amazing reading about the temple. Thanks for sharing it with us. Curated on behalf of the Neoxian city paper.
