Done with mommy duties, quick catch up with my hubby over lumpia and turon 😍 ‎

‎Hello hivers! I'm a mom of two beautiful kids. My morning routine revolves around them.

‎Weekdays mean waking up before the sun shines. Even though it's rainy in the Philippines nowadays, and may mean bed weather, I have to push myself to get up and keep moving.

‎Ssssh! I have to get up silently and slowly to make sure that my youngest won't be awake. Or else, I'm busted. I won't be able to move freely and do my tasks effectively.

‎Monday is the busiest day throughout the weekdays. Why? I have to wake up 30 minutes earlier than usual because of the flag-raising ceremony that takes place half an hour earlier than the normal school time.

‎So I stretched, drank warm water to keep my blood pumping.

‎And after a few minutes of self-love, it's time to take care of my daughter's needs.

‎So I started the usual mommy duties. Plugged in the iron and pressed my daughter's school uniform. Brought out the rice cooker and started cooking rice. The list of household chores goes on.

‎Finally, I'm done attending to my eldest daughter's needs. I gave her school allowance and say a little prayer for her.

‎Fortunately, the baby is still sleeping and so I squeezed in my coffee break. Sipped my morning coffee and ate my favorite sandwich with cashew butter spread.

‎This is the liberating part, when I can do most of the household tasks and I can sit down sipping my favorite coffee
‎by myself. My me time is crucial to keep me going throughout the day.

‎And just after I'm finished, the baby woke up. Gurgling sound and coooing, and she's like saying Pick me up, please.

‎Ad so I did. I wore my mother's hat again and continued with my routine. It's time to sunbathe the baby.

‎Oh, before I forgot, I have another baby. I want you to meet Oreo, and he's our fur baby.

1263.jpg

‎I make sure to follow his poo and pee time, or else, my home will be stinky forever.

‎This is the usual day in my life. So when my husband invited me to have a quick date with him, it was an avenue to unwind.

1215.jpg

‎So I agreed and it's time for a date! It's a very simple and ordinary date with my husband, yet it's a breather after my mommy duties.

‎We just snacked over a simple turon (banana rolled in a spring roll wrapper and fried)
‎Lumpiang gulay (veggie rolled in a spring roll wrapper).

‎We went to the grocery after and commuted back home.

1269.jpg

‎It was a day well spent. A date doesn't always need to be expensive. What matters is the quality time spent together.
