ARISE AND BUILD

“Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem” (Nehemiah 2:20 KJV)

Jesus had said that He will build His church and the gate of hell shall not prevail against it. So, the church requires building. Even though God has said He would build it, yet we know He will need human hands to do the building. The statement above was a response to some enemies of the Jews who believed the building they were attempting would not be possible. But the Jews made it clear that their mission to build was not negotiable.

In their statement, they said something very profound. They said that the God of Heaven will prosper them, and so they would arise and build. If you must build, then you must believe God for prosperity. And you must know also that if God has prospered you, it is because He wants you to arise and build.

The prosperity of believer is useless to God if there is no kingdom agenda to it. Your resources lack prosperity if they are not servicing one kingdom agenda or the other. So, start seeing your resources in a different light from now forward.

Secondly, building requires that you arise, and the best way to arise is to catch light. Isaiah 60:1 makes it abundantly clear that light must come for you to arise. Paul said “I went up by revelation”; (Galatians 2:2). Light commands movement and movement happens when arising takes place.
