TRIAL OF FAITH
Abraham suffered humiliation both from his wife and his kinsmen for lack of a child. He, Abraham opened his mouth in Genesis 15:2 and said, “Lord God what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless...”
Nobody could doubt what had prompted Abraham to obey and do what he did with Hagar to bring about Ishmael and who was unfortunately not the promise son. Isaac was born during his parents’ great old age to console and to make Abraham and Sarah to rejoice. This same son of promise was demanded for a sacrifice. Before Abraham could sum up courage to say “...My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering”. It took him a greater and extra ordinary faith which is rare for any childless man to have obtained.
To be blessed with greater faith such as that of Abraham, requires an excellent Spirit of God.
Ask the Lord to help you with this type of excellent Spirit in order to love your commandment than material things like a child and wealth.
